Integrity is key to the organisation.\nJob Purpose\nTo plan and conduct standard and moderate audits across multiple tax types, multiple periods with multiple risks, understanding the risk implications across other tax types, under limited supervision, in compliance with all legislative requirements.\nEducation and Experience\nMinimum Qualification & Experience Required\nRelevant National Diploma / Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) In Accounting / Auditing / Taxation / Law AND 3-4 years' experience in tax audit across multiple tax types.\nor\nSenior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 6 years’ experiencein tax audit across multiple tax types.\nMinimum Functional Requirements\n3-4 years' experience in a similar environment, of which 1-2 years at knowledge worker level or 6 years related experience\nJob Outputs:\nProcess\nAccumulate information and provide reports with recommendations applicable to area of specialisation. \nApply practical and applied knowledge and act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks. \nBe informed on related acts, legislation and regulations that might impact on own work.\nBe observant and engage on possible violations of regulations, policies, SOPs and standards of conduct and escalate where necessary.\nCommunication of situational interpretation and judgement of work outputs and queries in area of specialisation. \nConduct standard (limited scope) audits to ensure compliance with the relevant acts.\nCorrectly apply applicable legislation, including amongst others policies, procedures, and SOP's in the delivery of work outputs. \nEffectively plan and schedule own activities to continuously improve quality and service delivery in area of specialisation. \nExecute process and procedural change, implement the change and provide guidelines and support related to new requirements as a result of the change. \nPlan and organise own work tasks within area of work. \nPlan the audit and identify additional risk/s.\nPrepare and present submissions to interest and penalty committee.\nProvide specialist input through the investigation of opportunities for operational and process, product and risk optimisation. \nTake accountability for delivery of contracted work outputs within agreed parameters, quality standards and client service targets.\nGovernance\nComply to set governance and compliance procedures and processes related to an area of specialisation and continuously identify and escalate risks.\nPeople\nDevelop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and team members to achieve predefined objectives.\nDevelop productive working relationships team members.
