Our solutions help banks and other financial institutions around the world quantify and manage financial risks in their organization.\nThis opportunity comes at an exciting time as we are building out cloud-native solutions to support our customers.\nAs an Associate Software Developer, you will:\nDesign and develop high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.\nActively involve other project stakeholders (e.g. managers, developers, user interface and visual designers, product managers) to ensure implementation satisfies functional requirements\nParticipate in project scoping and scheduling; tracking progress of individual tasks and alerting stakeholders of issues blocking or preventing completion of tasks\nEnsures quality by creating and supporting automated tests with extensive code coverage and participating in code reviews\nEnsure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.\nEmbrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability. These are our values and influence everything we do.\nRequired qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, Engineering or related quantitative field.\nProficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Python or JavaScript\nFamiliarity with user interface development using technologies such as React, Angular, or similar.\nFamiliarity with server-side development - RESTful APIs, SQL databases, etc.\nUnderstanding of version control and CI/CD concepts - knowledge of Git, Gradle, and/or GitHub workflows\nFamiliarity with Docker containers and Kubernetes\nStrong interpersonal, documentation, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work independently or within a team\nProof of Right to work in the UK\nAn equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.\nAdditional competencies, knowledge and skills\nCollaborating: Working cooperatively with others to help a team or work group achieve its goals.\nAdaptability: Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment (e.g., people, processes, structure, or culture); adjusting effectively to change by exploring the benefits, trying new approaches, and collaborating with others to make the change successful.\nYou’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.
