For this role, you will join the SAS9 team. We are looking for a Java developer to develop and maintain the SAS9 middle tier platform and services. You will help with plan and design work and take responsibility for large parts of the application. Furthermore, you will be joining a friendly team with a broad range of experience, to develop and maintain SAS 9.4 Solutions.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nValidation and Testing of SAS Software on windows and Unix platforms.\n\nInstallation/configuration of testing environment and support SAS9 infrastructure and continuous deployment infrastructure.\n\nDemonstrate aptitude for problem solving and debugging of complex software systems.\n\nAutomate the deployment process as applicable using internal tools, Jenkins, Python, Shell scripts etc.\n\nInstall and administer Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, SAS or related DBMS.\n\nAdministration of Linux, Windows and SAS software\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts that address specific needs.\n\nDesign and implement test plans (cases, scenarios, usage).\n\nCreate test strategies, test scenarios, and test ideas with clear intent.\n\nIdentify risks, issues, potential defects, or defects in any phase of the project life cycle, managing them through closure.\n\nRequirement\n2-5 years experience.\nExperience administrating Windows and Unix operating systems.\nKnowledge of Security concepts and tool such as Snyk, Blackduck etc.\nGood debugging skills, logical problem-solving capability, quick and self-learner to adopt and use new technologies.\nKnowledge of programming/Scripting language such as Java/Shell Script, Python etc. for automating deployment process as applicable.\nInstall and administer any of Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, SAS or related DBMS.\nKnowledge of Enterprise Security applications like IBM Virtual Identity Access (IVIA)/WebSeal, SiteMinder and Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA).\nIndependently support / install / configure test environments for multiple projects.\nBasic understanding of Cloud computing concepts and hypervisors.\nAptitude to work with large Legacy products.\nUse of AI Dev tool (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude code etc)\nValidation and testing of multiple SAS9 products.\nExperience administrating Windows and Unix operating systems.\nKnowledge of programming/Scripting language such as Java, Shell Script, Python etc. for automating deployment process as applicable.\nInstall and administer any of Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, SAS or related DBMS.\nDemonstrate aptitude for problem solving and debugging of complex software systems.\nFamiliarity with security principles such as FIPS, TLS, Certificate and Private Key infrastructure.\nDesign and implement test plans (cases, scenarios, usage). \nYou are welcome here.\nAt SAS, it’s not about fitting into our culture - it’s about adding to it.
