For this role, you will join the SAS9 team. We are looking for a Java developer to develop and maintain the SAS9 middle tier platform and services. You will help with plan and design work and take responsibility for large parts of the application. Furthermore, you will be joining a friendly team with a broad range of experience, to develop and maintain SAS 9.4 Solutions.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nYour primary responsibility will be to enhance, maintain, fix customer and security issues with multiple products and services under SAS 9 foundation.\nWork with customers and technical support for resolution of issues related to functionality, security and performance.\nBecome actively involved in daily operations and duties as needed to meet schedules or resolve complex problems or issues.\nEnsure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.\nMentor junior team members and help them to resolve technical challenges.\n6-14 years’ relevant experience.\nExcellent programming skills with Java, Spring, Hibernate.\nUnderstanding of Groovy is an added advantage.\nExpertise in working on Database centric applications and knowledge of SQL with Postgres, Oracle\nUnderstanding of OOPs, Design Patterns, SOLID principles.\nUnderstanding of build tools like Ant, Maven.\nKnowledge of Security concepts, Tool such as Snyk, Blackduck etc\nKnowledge of Enterprise Security applications like IBM Virtual Identity Access (IVIA)/WebSeal, SiteMinder and Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA).\nFamiliarity with security principles such as FIPS, TLS, Certificate and Private Key infrastructure.\nExperience with fast paced Agile software development methodologies.\nGood debugging skills, logical problem-solving capability, quick and self-learner to adopt and use new technologies.\nExperience with unit, regression, and integration testing.\nUnderstanding of JSP and JavaScript is an added advantage.\nAptitude to work with large Legacy code bases\nUse of AI Dev tool (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude code etc)\nGood exposure to design and development of mid-tier services, REST APIs, Java ecosystem.\nKnowledge of OOPs, Design Patterns, SOLID principles.\nExcellent programming skills with Java, Spring, Hibernate.\nExpertise in working on Database centric applications and knowledge of SQL with Postgres, Oracle\nDemonstrated experience with unit, regression, and integration testing with large software portfolio\nComfortable working on Windows and Linux operating systems.\nGood debugging skills, logical problem-solving capability, quick and self-learner to adopt and use new technologies.\nExperience with Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat.\nYou are welcome here.\nAt SAS, it’s not about fitting into our culture - it’s about adding to it.
