Our team works on the cutting-edge technology stack which processes Big Data to help our customers in making analytical and business decisions. The volume of data, flexible architecture and configurability are the interesting challenges that the Team works upon while delivering features through CI/CD.\nAs a Senior Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), we are looking for someone who:\nCreates and maintains high quality of test automation using modern development techniques and provides key data points to support metrics-based decision making.\nApplies automated tests at every layer of the application stack, both inside and outside of the continuous delivery pipeline.\nProduces and analyzes metrics that illustrate the quality of applications and develop insight that contribute to quality engineering decisions.\nWorks with team to promptly triage test failures with precision and accuracy, maintaining the health of the build pipeline.\nWorks collaboratively with development, product, operations, and support peers to encourage quality, as a key design element in all work efforts.\nEngages in code reviews for product, test, and infrastructure code.\nProtects users from escaped defects, participates in support escalations, and value Customer Experience (CX) above all.\nEnsures all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.\nEmbraces curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability. These are our values and influence everything we do. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or related quantitative field\n2-5 years of professional experience in software development or automated testing in Python, or similar languages\nExperience with integration, regression, and unit testing.\nWorking experience with RDBMS - Oracle, PostgreSQL\nExperience using Agile development practices\nFamiliarity with various cloud environments and concepts\nEquivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with CI/CD pipeline and associated tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.\nExperience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Python\nExperience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Golang)\nProgramming and debugging skills with a working understanding of software architecture and testing principles.\nExposure to BDD and I18N testing will be preferred.\nExperience with performance and resiliency testing.\nExperience with Linux. \nWorking knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based application development. \nYou are welcome here.\nAt SAS, it’s not about fitting into our culture - it’s about adding to it.
