Each year, SAS welcomes a select group of interns to join us for a 10-12 week summer experience. In 2027, we will be hiring\n8 R&D Interns in our Glasgow office across a variety of teams. As SAS's R&D hub in EMEA, Glasgow brings together talented engineers, developers, and innovators who build technology used by customers around the world. As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced teams on real projects, gain hands-on technical experience, and contribute to solutions used by our customers from day one. Many have chosen to continue their journey with SAS, reflecting the valuable learning opportunities, mentorship, and career growth the internship provides.\nAvailable Opportunities For our 2027 Summer R&D Internship Program, we are hiring\nFull-Stack Developers and\nBackend Developers across the following R&D teams in Glasgow:\nModel Manager\nAnalytics Lifecycle\nIntelligent Decisioning\nCompute Engineering\nGenAI Platform\nAnalytics\nRegardless of the team you join, you'll work alongside experienced engineers, gain practical development experience, and contribute to technology used by customers around the world.What you'll do As an intern, you will work on real releases for real customers under Agile and CI/CD methodologies, experiencing every part of the development process. You will be integrated into a product team from Day 1, allowing you to learn from the highest calibre of talented and experienced R&D staff. You can expect to:\nDesign and implement new features.\nWork with product management, UX and UI designers to define and design new features\nCollaborate with development teams to draft technical specifications and designs\nImplement new product features\nParticipate in code reviews\nImprove testing automation and integration into our testing and delivery pipeline\nMake a real difference - and get paid while doing it!\nRequired qualifications\nYou are a penultimate year bachelor's student in one of the STEM Faculties.\nStrong communication skills - both written and verbal. \nYou are available to start the internship in 2027 late May and continue through the summer for 10-12 weeks.\nYou have good programming skills, in at least 1 modern programming language.\nYou are familiar with basic computing concepts.\nYou’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable.
