Learn more.\nPurpose of Job\nSupport applications research to develop new products and applications to meet existing and emerging customer and market needs.\nKey Accountabilities\nComplete tasks as directed, meet experimental deadlines on laboratory experiments that contribute to technical development objectives\nAssigned to problems of moderate complexity which can be effectively addressed with the instruments and techniques commonly used.\nHandle multiple projects simultaneously.\nManage and maintain a variety of research instruments within the laboratory.\nInitiates restocking of supplies, maintain and repair of lab equipment; additional data collection to support existing projects or assignments\nSupports research projects that address the technical objectives of the research group potentially including; development/characterization of boehmite(alumina) and their applications, Metalworking and lubricants, Agro Applications, Pulp and Paper applications, and Oil and Gas applications.\nDocuments results in an electronic lab notebook, research reports and presents key finding in group meetings, departmental seminars and industry associate meetings.\nInteracts with manager and group members, and routinely interacts with other research groups in the local laboratory.\nDevelops and maintains relationships within research group, LC R&D department, and possibly with contacts outside the R&D department, depending upon the domain of the job. \nFormal Education\nB.S. in Chemistry (preferred) or other physical science.\nWorking Experience\nB.S.
