Gas & Ekandustria\nLocation\nTemane\nPurpose of Job\nProvide technical and engineering support for the inspection, integrity management, maintenance, rehabilitation, and development of civil and structural assets across oil and gas production, processing, compression, pipeline, logistics, and support facilities including the accommodation facilities.\nThe role is accountable for ensuring that buildings, roads, foundations, drainage systems, and structural facilities remain safe, compliant, reliable, fit-for-purpose, and capable of supporting uninterrupted operations while minimizing business risk and lifecycle costs.\nKey Accountabilities\nCivil and Structural Integrity Management\nDevelop and implement civil and structural integrity management programs.\nEnsure the safe operation and fitness-for-service of all civil infrastructure assets.\nMaintain an asset register and integrity database for civil and structural facilities.\nMonitor structural health and recommend remediation measures.\nConduct risk-based assessment of aging infrastructure and structures.\nStructural Inspection and Assessment\nLead inspections and condition assessments of:\nSteel structures\nPipe racks\nEquipment support structures\nBuildings and workshops\nWarehouses\nCompressor station structures\nElevated platforms and access systems\nFoundations and concrete structures\nIdentify:\nCorrosion damage\nConcrete deterioration\nCracks and settlement\nStructural deformation\nFoundation instability\nLoad-related deficiencies\nPrepare inspection reports and remediation plans.\nBuilding Integrity and Maintenance\nDevelop building inspection and maintenance programs.\nManage integrity and guide maintenance repairs of:\nOffice buildings\nControl rooms\nWorkshops\nWarehouses\nAccommodation facilities in operations areas and Sasol village(s)\nSecurity infrastructure\nEnsure compliance with building standards and statutory requirements.\nLead structural rehabilitation and refurbishment projects.\nRoad and Infrastructure Management\nDevelop road inspection and maintenance strategies.\nMonitor and suggest improvements on:\nAccess roads\nInternal plant roads\nGravel roads\nDrainage systems\nCulverts\nBridges and crossings\nIdentify and prioritize repair requirements.\nSupport logistics and operations teams to ensure year-round access to facilities.\nManage contractors performing road maintenance and rehabilitation works.\nEngineering Projects\nProvide civil engineering input into brownfield and greenfield projects.\nReview and approve engineering designs and construction drawings.\nParticipate in project planning, cost estimation, execution, and commissioning.\nEnsure civil works comply with Sasol standards and engineering national and international specifications.\nSupport Management of Change (MOC) processes.\nContractor and Vendor Management\nManage specialist contractors performing:\nStructural
