We are excited to welcome team members who push the limits, get things done, and never stop learning-all while being humble, honest, and empathetic.\nAbout the team\nAs a hardware design engineer you will be a part of the Electronics team. The team is responsible for the design of all electronic devices of our satellites, the definition of design standards for the company and the delivery of fully tested devices. You will be reporting to the Head of Electronic Engineering Discipline as well as the Project Manager of your assigned projects.\nThe team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.\nAbout the position\nAs a hardware design engineer you will:\nImplement aerospace hardware devices based on low level requirements.\nDesign and document electronic hardware devices, assemblies and its harnesses for our satellites.\nInteract with PCB manufacturers during development and prototype \nDevelop Hardware Validation procedures and write code in order to test prototypes.\nReview PCB designs for manufacturability and space flight qualification.\nProactively identify and implement design improvements to optimize existing hardware performance and manufacturability.\nMonitor emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions for satellite systems.\nParticipate in the definition and improvement of the team guidelines.\nThe preferred location is Buenos Aires. Availability to travel is required, specifically to the plant facilities in Montevideo.\nAbout you\nRequired experience:\nDegree in Electronic Engineering or related fields.\n3+ years of experience working in high-tech hardware design.\nExperience in testing and debugging of hardware devices.\nUse of PCB Layout software, preferably Altium Designer.\nRequired skills:\nStrong design background in digital and mixed-signal circuits.\nMulti-layer high speed signal routing of PCBs such as LVDS, PCI-Express, USB, Ethernet, etc.\nBasic programming in Python and C and use code version control tools (git).\nFamiliar with Linux OS.\nLanguage: Working proficiency in written and oral in both English and Spanish.\nDesirable skills:\nKnowledge of IPC standards regarding PCB design, fabrication and assembly.\nBasic knowledge of MCAD tools such as Nx, CATIA, SolidWorks or similar.\nWhat we value:\nFlexibility and agility: be comfortable with an ever-changing and fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.\nCommunication: excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.\nInitiative: identify improvement opportunities, provide feedback, design solutions.\nEager to learn: about your field and related ones.\nAutonomy: ability to navigate ambiguity, make technical decisions, and carry projects across the finish line without constant supervision.\nDiversity Commitment\nSatellogic values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer.
