This includes building meaningful dashboards, improving alerting, troubleshooting production incidents, and identifying opportunities to prevent recurring issues.\nThe role combines hands-on platform engineering and continuous infrastructure improvement with production reliability responsibilities, including incident response and participation in scheduled on-call rotations.\nWe’re looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, takes ownership of production reliability, and continuously improves systems through automation, standardization, and operational best practices.\nLocation\nWe are looking for a Platform Engineer based in the Philippines or India to strengthen our global infrastructure operations and support production systems across different time zones.\nResponsibilities\nParticipate in scheduled on-call rotations, responding to critical alerts and production incidents when required.\nInvestigate and troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.\nCollaborate with global engineering and operations teams to improve infrastructure resilience and operational best practices.\nDesign, review, and deploy reliable and scalable cloud-native architectures.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).\nMonitor and optimize production systems to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.\nManage and continuously improve AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, and Elasticsearch environments.\nBuild and enhance monitoring dashboards, observability, logging, and alerting capabilities to proactively detect and prevent issues.\nAbout you\nExperience\n4 + years of experience in SRE, Cloud engineering or Platform engineering roles.\nDegree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.\nSolid experience with AWS, particularly infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and operations.\nHands-on experience investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving production incidents.\nPractical experience with incident management, on-call rotations, escalation processes, and root cause analysis.\nStrong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.\nProficiency in Helm for managing deployments.\nHand-on experience using AI tools such as Github copilot to support development, automation and infrastructure operations.\nGood networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, VPCs, firewalls, routing, and load balancers.\nProven experience with Elasticsearch and the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats), including administration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.\nWhat we value\nExperience building event-driven architectures\nFamiliarity with SRE practices, including Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and incident postmortems.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills\nPassion for automation, learning, and continuous improvement. \nDiversity Commitment\nSatellogic values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer.
