And together, you'll build something worth being proud of.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAs our Country Manager - Merchant, you’ll play a key role in driving sales and profitable growth across Satispay’s core merchant business.\nYou will hold the strategic and operational responsibility, including the P&L (profit and loss), for our core merchant ecosystem, the most iconic and foundational business we have. Your mission is to maximize sales, find new ways to monetize, lead our commercial teams, and be the strongest advocate for merchants’ needs and market trends. This is a permanent role based in Milan, with a flexible hybrid working policy.\nThis is an opportunity to lead within a high-growth, constantly evolving environment - a challenge perfectly suited for an executive ready to navigate and shape change at scale and contribute to something bigger.\nHere's what your day-to-day will look like:\nOwn the Merchant P&L and strategy - Define, drive, and execute the commercial strategy for the Merchant business, delivering sustainable revenue growth and profitability.\n\nLead and scale the sales teams - Directly manage and mentor the sales organization. Sharpen commercial processes, targets, and performance to maximize market penetration.\n\nBe the voice of the merchant - Dig into merchants’ needs, pain points, and industry trends, and turn them into clear, actionable feedback for our product and growth strategies.\n\nSpot monetization opportunities - Keep analyzing the merchant landscape to identify, test, and launch new feature-driven or service-driven ways to monetize.\n\nThrive in a matrix structure - Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Product and Growth, among others, to align the product roadmap with merchant expectations and make execution seamless.\n\nYou will lead and mentor high-performing teams, collaborate closely with peers with structured communication and transparency, demonstrating a commitment to integrity and ownership.\nWho we're looking for\nThis role needs a proven leader with a distinguished track record of success in driving strategic initiatives and achieving significant business growth within relevant sectors.\nYou will lead by example, combining ambition with purpose, drive impactful results, and cultivate ownership and continuous improvement in our dynamic environment.\nBusiness acumen and P&L ownership - 5-8+ years in senior leadership roles (General Manager, Head of Business or VP of Sales) with full accountability for a business line’s P&L, ideally scaling merchant-facing or business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) business lines.\n\nSales leadership - Proven experience directly managing, structuring, and motivating high-performing sales teams, preferably in Fintech, Payments, Retail Tech, or Marketplace, backed by a strong commercial drive. Experience and expertise in acquiring, payment acceptance, and point-of-sale (POS) solutions is a plus.\n\nMonetization and growth mindset - A sharp eye for untapped revenue streams, upselling opportunities, and strategic partnerships within a merchant ecosystem.\n\nMatrix organization expertise - Strong ability to navigate and influence in a matrix environment, bridging the gap between field sales and central product and growth teams.\n\nCustomer-centric, trend-driven approach - Genuine passion for understanding merchant dynamics, physical and digital retail trends, and shifting consumer behaviors.\n\nDon't worry if you don't tick every box.
