You will build and maintain automation frameworks, develop scalable test solutions, and drive quality across web, mobile, API, and data platforms.\nWorking closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps engineers, you will integrate quality throughout the software development lifecycle through automation, CI/CD quality gates, and engineering best practices. You will own quality initiatives end-to-end, analyze production issues, improve release confidence, and help establish a strong quality-first engineering culture.\nRoles & Responsibilities\n1. Planning & Design\nDefine quality strategies, testing standards, and engineering best practices across the SDLC.\nCollaborate with developers during design and implementation to improve testability, reliability, observability, and maintainability.\nIdentify quality risks early through requirement reviews, architecture discussions, and risk-based analysis.\nEstablish quality metrics, coverage targets, release readiness criteria, and quality dashboards.\nDrive Shift-Left Quality practices and promote a quality-first engineering culture.\nUse exploratory testing selectively for validating complex workflows, edge cases, and high-risk areas where automation coverage is insufficient.\n2. Execution\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Cucumber (BDD), Python, and Java.\nAutomate web, mobile, API, and end-to-end workflows to improve test coverage and release confidence.\nIntegrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.\nBuild reusable test utilities and frameworks that support rapid feature delivery.\nPerform exploratory, functional, regression, and usability testing across products and platforms.\nDesign and execute performance and scalability tests to validate system reliability under varying workloads.\nValidate data quality, data integrity, ETL pipelines, geospatial datasets, and business-critical workflows.\nInvestigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and verify fixes across environments.\n3.Collaboration\nPartner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Data teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.\nParticipate in code and design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and release planning activities.\nQuality Engineering & AI Focus\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across UI, API, data, and platform layers.\nDevelop and execute automated test suites covering functional, integration, end-to-end, performance, and data validation scenarios.\nIntegrate automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient releases.\nContribute production-quality code, testing utilities, and engineering tools alongside software engineers.\nParticipate in code reviews and advocate for quality, testability, and maintainability.\nLeverage AI-assisted testing, intelligent test selection, and data-driven quality insights to improve test effectiveness.\nAnalyze production issues, identify quality gaps, and implement preventive improvements.\nContinuously improve automation maturity, test coverage, and engineering excellence through innovation and process optimization.\nTechnical Skills & Tools\nAutomation: Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), REST Assured\nProgramming: Python, Java\nAPI Testing: Postman, REST APIs\nPerformance Testing: JMeter, Load Testing Tools\nCI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket\nData Testing: SQL, ETL Testing, Geospatial Data Validation\nAI-Driven Testing: AI-assisted test generation, intelligent test automation, predictive quality analytics\nTest Management: Jira, Browserstack, Agile/Scrum\nRequirements\nMust Have\n2-4 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Quality.\nStrong programming skills in Python or Java.\nHands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), or equivalent automation frameworks.\nExperience building and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.\nExperience writing production-quality code and developing automated tests alongside software engineers.\nExperience with web application, API, data pipeline, and distributed systems testing.\nExperience with unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and data testing methodologies.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile development methodologies.\nExperience participating in code reviews and contributing to engineering best practices.\nExposure to AI-assisted testing tools and modern Quality Engineering practices.\nExposure to exploratory testing techniques for validating complex workflows and edge cases.\nStrong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nNice to Have\nKnowledge of Cloud Technologies: With more and more enterprises moving to the cloud, knowledge of technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.\nExperience in testing GIS Tools/Software like Quantum GIS, Google Earth,
