This role prepares journal entries and reconciliations, analyzes financial information, supports month-end close and audit activities, and partners with others to maintain reliable financial records and reporting.\n\nThis role offers a hybrid arrangement, with an agreed-upon portion of work time spent at our office in Archbold, Ohio.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nAssist with imports accounting, which may include:\nReconciling banks statements with wire payments and posting bank statements.\nAnalyzing selected General Ledger Accounts for samples, air freight, product testing, and outside QC Services by factories.\nRunning shipping reports to keep track of containers.\nAuditing Sauder Asia’s monthly report.\nTracking and recording of Direct Import (DI) shipments and sales.\nAssist with fixed asset, tax, risk management and payroll accounting, which may include:\nRecording fixed asset acquisitions and disposals and monitoring depreciation.\nStates sales and local tax reporting and filings.\nIncome tax return information requests\nPreparation of payroll journal entries, payroll related accruals and other administrative tasks.\nInsurance renewal information requests\nAssist with treasury and accounts receivable functions, which may include:\nAssisting with Canadian tax transactions.\nAssisting with lockbox activities.\nPreparing monthly credit metrics.\nReconciling bank statements.\nRecording miscellaneous cash receipts.\nAssistance with weekly cash forecasts.\nOther treasury-related functions as needed.\nAssist with other general ledger and financial reporting functions, which may include:\nGeneral ledger entries and account analysis as needed.\nAnalysis of financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital\nReconciliation of balance sheet accounts.\nMonth-end closing, consolidation, and reporting.\nSupporting in various external financial audit requests prepared by client.\nWHAT YOU’LL BRING\nEducation & Experience\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with a major in Accounting.\nPreferred\n3 years of related experience.\nWorking towards CPA certification.\nKey Skills & Capabilities\nWorking knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate, complete financial records.\nAbility to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and recommend practical solutions.\nClear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.\nAbility to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion.\nExperience with SAP and Crystal Reports is preferred.\nPAY SUMMARY\nExpected offer range: $50,000 - $60,000. The actual salary will be based on factors such as location, relevant experience, and skills.
