Included in overall duties is to take samples, record and report accurately. Monitoring safe and sanitary conditions throughout plant using and enforcing GMPs. Requires close communication and coordination with production supervisor, packaging operators, maintenance, and warehousing.\nWhat will you do?\nPerform quality checks in the mainline or Portion control departments.\nAbility to perform analytical testing on batched samples and record data.\nPulling finished product samples for retains and micro analysis.\nPerforms x-ray examinations on lines.\nAbility to test for moisture and fat on products.\nPre and post-op inspection\nRedzone familiarization and utilization\nTruck inspection audits, having the ability to enter Raw material data.\nHACCP familiarization\nNotifies QC management when Quality issues arise.\nPerforms “Near Miss” submittals monthly.\n\n Performance Standards (the criteria that will be used to evaluate performance)\nConduct line checks. Check codes, boxes, labeling, seals, metal detector and weights.\nCollect and test samples of product hourly.\nDocument analysis of samples.\nPerform testing on oils.\nMix reagents and handle hazardous chemicals.\nCommunicate clearly with production supervisors, line operators, warehouse and others as necessary.\nObserve, label and document ingredients, as they are unloaded from tractor-trailers.\nComplete and file paperwork as needed by department.\nMaintain and evaluate retain samples.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For: Characteristics, skills, experience, education and performance history needed for success in the position:\nInitiative to organize and accurately perform all job functions \nCurious, with desire to continuously learn and to support continuous improvement.\nPossesses a strong attention to detail.\nSelf-starter with the capacity to work with minimal supervision as well as work as part of a team.\nCan easily adapt to change in the work environment.\nPersonal Characteristics\nProfessional Demeanor\nEntrepreneurial drive and the desire to “build a business”.\nPassionate, outgoing, energetic, and results oriented personality\nOverall confidence in one abilities and comfortable communicating the facts\nSmart, creative and inquisitive\nCharacter and Integrity-Does the right thing even when no one is looking\nNo excuses mindset.
