Join our team #MissionWater.\nJob Summary\nThe Machinist is responsible for carrying out all part machining operations on automated machines such as lathe, drill, grinding machine, milling machine, bar turning machine or wire cutting. They prepares equipment, adjusts machine parameters, monitors workflow, and controls the quality of parts produced to ensure compliance with technical plans and standards.Your Main Responsabilities\nSchedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on occasional Fridays)\nLocation: Onsite; Knoxville, TN\nPay Range: $20.00 - $26.00/hr, Dependent on Experience\nBenefits: Group Medical, Dental Vision, 401(k) Match, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, and Paid Sick Time. +Employer Paid Benefits: STD, LTD, Life AD&D\nEssential Duties:\nHAAS, Mazatrol Matrix, M32, or Mazak Smooth control use experience preferred.\nMachine materials into components in accordance with company/customer requirements utilizing a variety of machining equipment.\nCNC Lathes and Mazak Lathes use.\nDrill Press, manual lathes, and manual mills use.\nProgram CNC equipment to produce components that meet quality specifications.\nOperate material handling equipment (forklift/overhead crane) to maneuver parts safely into place, while facilitating and optimizing workflow.\nCalculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and/or vernier calipers.\nAlign and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.\nMachine parts to specifications, using machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines.\nStudy sample parts, blueprints, drawings and engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operation needed to fabricate products needed for production.\nMaintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.\nOperate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.\nComprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard.\nDemonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.\nParticipate in root cause analysis projects and Continuous Improvement programs.\nOther duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.\nYour Profile\nEducation/Experience:\nAt least 1 year fabricating in a manufacturing environment\nManual Mill and Lathe experience\nPrograming experience on Mazatrol Matrix or M32 control use, and/or G code, preferred.\nRequirements:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\nHigh School Diploma/GED required\nBasic shop math and measurement skills\nBasic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings\nAble to work overtime as required\n*This description indicates the general nature of the tasks and responsibilities required of positions given this classification.
