Join our team #MissionWater.\nJob Summary\nThe Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities in various settings, such as municipal or industrial wastewater plants. The role ensures the proper functioning of treatment systems to protect the environment by guaranteeing that treated water meets all regulatory standards before discharge.Your Main Responsabilities\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform critical testing of facility operations, such as PH, dissolved oxygen, chlorine, etc., in order to monitor system condition\nComplete Discharge Monitoring Reports as required by facilities permits\nPerform general preventative maintenance on treatment plant equipment such as blower oil, filter and belt changes and pulling and inspecting submersible pumps, etc. (Further defined below in addendum A)\nMaintain complete, accurate, legible records of all phases of facility operations\nMaintain complete, accurate, legible records of all equipment and plant maintenance\nAssist in preparing monthly written operating report based on facility’s operation and/or maintenance records for the client, employer or regulatory agency as required\nInform Supervisor in a timely manner of plant problems, upsets, plant expansion, repairs, etc.\nWork conscientiously, adhere to EH&S policies and processes, and be aware of and report safety hazards\nRequired to be part of a 24 hour on call rotation\nBe prepared to discuss in a professional manner the plant operations with employer, client, visitors or regulatory personnel\nCollect required samples, log in samples correctly and accurately, and submit samples to laboratory and review results to ensure permit compliance\nOperate plants to meet all regulatory guidelines and responsibilities\nAssist maintenance personnel with pump, blower, motor, valve, etc. removal\nMaintain accurate records for gasoline, mileage, timesheets, expenses, etc.\nWork scheduled weekends and occasional holidays for assigned route\nProject a positive image to operators, clients, regulatory agencies, engineers, etc.\nConfined Space Entry - this may be required on occasion after thorough training provided by NSU\nPerforms other related duties as assigned by management\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMust be 21 years of age or older\nMinimum High School Diploma or GED required\nMinimum 1 year of water/wastewater experience, preferred\n40-hour work week: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30 pm (30-minute lunch)\nMust be willing to participate in an on-call roster resulting in periodic work after hours sometimes including weekends and holidays\nOvertime as required\nCertificates, licenses, and registrations:Driver’s License\nCA Wastewater Treatment Grade 3 License minimum\n\nPay Range: $38.88 -
