The incumbent will build, strengthen, and maintain vendor relationships while driving mutually beneficial strategies between organisations.\nIn addition, the role requires identifying market opportunities, leveraging customer and channel insights, and ensuring the timely delivery of products and projects.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nMatric\n\nDiploma or degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related commercial field\n\n5-10 years' experience in the Office Automation / ICT industry\n\n2-3 years' experience working with franchises\n\nProven experience in budget management, product management, and team leadership\n\nAdvanced MS Excel (advantageous)\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n1. Competitive Positioning and Market Development\nAnalyse the competitive landscape, identifying competitor offerings, strengths, and weaknesses\n\nGather customer and channel insights in collaboration with Sales and Marketing\n\nUse insights and sales data to inform product development, selection, and roadmap planning\n\nProvide up-to-date competitor analysis\n\nDefine product strategies with Product Managers, including:\nTarget market\n\nProduct offering\n\nCommercial approach\n\nUnique value proposition\n\nCollaborate with the Product Marketing Manager to develop internal and customer-facing product collateral\n\n2. Budget Management\nTrack budget performance at both company and franchise levels\n\nReport on overall revenue and margins\n\nDevelop and agree on budgets with suppliers in line with company strategy\n\nMonitor supplier performance against budgets\n\nRecommend and oversee interventions to improve sales performance\n\nContribute to pricing strategies\n\nMonitor price support systems\n\nCompile quarterly market share reports\n\n3. Vendor Relationship Management\nBuild and maintain strong vendor relationships\n\nManage daily and monthly vendor interactions\n\nNegotiate pricing, rebates, and support agreements\n\nTrack and report on rebate performance monthly\n\nAlign vendor strategies with company objectives\n\nIdentify and onboard new vendors where necessary\n\nEnsure pricing lists are accurate, updated, and distributed\n\n4. Product Strategy\nAlign product goals with overall business objectives\n\nTranslate strategic priorities into actionable plans\n\nEnsure products contribute to broader company goals\n\nCollaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Service, L&D)\n\nDrive innovation based on market trends and emerging technologies\n\nEnsure Sales teams are equipped with product knowledge and pricing\n\nSupport Marketing with accurate messaging and materials\n\nReview after-sales performance with Service teams\n\nPartner with Marketing to develop solutions for targeted industry verticals\n\n5. People Management\nMentor and guide Product Managers\n\nEnsure effective collaboration and timely delivery of outputs\n\nReview and improve processes where needed\n\nSupport Product Managers in resolving product-related challenges\n\nAdvocate for product portfolios at leadership level\n\nDrive cross-functional collaboration\n\nLead planning for trade shows, roadshows, and product launches\n\nOversee product training initiatives\n\nTrack and report on team KPIs\n\n6.
