The incumbent will also oversee franchise support, staff development, process control, and ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA), ISO standards, and JSE control requirements.\nKey Performance Areas (KPAs)\nStrategic purchasing, forecasting, and backorder management\n\nSupplier and logistics partner relationship management\n\nComprehensive inventory and stock control oversight\n\nManagement of warehouse and shipping operations\n\nOversight of agent account reconciliations and rate reviews\n\nWeekly and monthly reporting, including KPIs and board-level summaries\n\nBudget development and control for annuity and supply chain operations\n\nOversight of annuity product and price list management\n\nStreamlining operational processes across annuity and support teams\n\nManagement of franchise-related processes (orders, returns, invoicing, credit notes)\n\nStaff leadership, development, and departmental process improvement\n\nCompliance with DOA, JSE control requirements, and ISO procedures\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n1. Purchasing, Forecasting & Backorder Management\nManage international and local procurement using Athena and partner portals\n\nEnsure purchase approvals are in line with DOA\n\nCoordinate weekly sea freight and ad hoc airfreight shipments\n\nUse forecasting tools and stock data to maintain optimal inventory levels\n\nMaintain accurate ETDs/ETAs and control backorders\n\n2. Supplier Liaison & Relationship Management\nServe as the key point of contact for local and international suppliers\n\nMonitor purchase orders and franchise procurement activities\n\nTrack product availability, backorders, and delivery timelines\n\n3. Inventory Management\nLiaise with product and marketing teams for inventory planning\n\nCollaborate with the Shipping Costing Controller for urgent stock needs\n\nConduct forecasting meetings and prepare stock write-off reports\n\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate costings\n\n4. Shipping & Warehouse Operations\nOversee end-to-end shipping and warehousing activities\n\nSupervise warehouse personnel and ensure accurate reporting\n\n5. Agent Account Management\nReview and validate service provider invoices\n\nConduct bi-annual rate comparisons and negotiate improved terms\n\n6. Reporting & KPI Management\nGenerate daily and monthly supplier and PO reports\n\nCompile board-level summaries and stock segment analyses\n\nTrack KPIs and provide explanations for variances\n\n7. Budgeting & Financial Oversight\nSet and manage budgets for annuity, franchise annuity, supply chain, and warehousing\n\nMonitor performance against budget and report on variances\n\n8. Operational Improvements\nIdentify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities\n\nUpdate and optimize departmental roles and workflows\n\n9. Franchise Management\nEnsure compliance with franchise invoicing, stock returns, and credit note processes\n\nOversee support team performance and maintain service excellence\n\n10. Staff & Process Development\nLead and develop supply chain and support teams\n\nDrive continuous improvement and adherence to processes and controls\n\n11. ISO & JSE Control\nMaintain and update ISO procedures and departmental objectives\n\nEnsure compliance with all JSE-related controls and governance\n\nRequirements and Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field (essential)\n\nPostgraduate qualification or certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Procurement (preferred)\n\nISO and/or JSE compliance training or certification (advantageous)\n\nExperience\nMinimum 10+ years in a supply chain or logistics management role\n\nProven experience in procurement, shipping, warehousing, and inventory management\n\nExperience in annuity-based product and consumable logistics (advantageous)\n\nStrong track record in budget and KPI management\n\nExposure to office automation or tech distribution sectors (advantageous)\n\nTechnical Skills\nProficient in ERP systems (e.g., Athena, Just Enough, SAP, Oracle)\n\nAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability\n\nKnowledge of forecasting tools and inventory planning systems\n\nUnderstanding of import/export regulations and logistics documentation\n\nCompetencies\nStrong leadership and team management\n\nHigh attention to detail and problem-solving ability\n\nExcellent negotiation and communication skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities under
