Learn SRMC and specific Department systems, methodologies, and requirements for accomplishing tasks. Assist more senior engineering personnel in performing related activities in more complex tasks.\nAccept delegated technical responsibility for a limited phase of a scientific or engineering program. Support engineers or scientists performing related phases of a program.\nAssist in studies, development, testing and analysis of designs, processes, or procedures related to a limited phase of a system or program.\nAdditional responsibilities at the Senior Engineer level:\nPlan and develop conventional engineering and scientific solutions for technical problems or project objectives using SRMC engineering methodologies and requirements. Assist more senior engineering personnel in performing related activities on more complex tasks.\nAssume technical responsibility for one or more phases of a program and/or ownership for unit operations within processing facilities. Collaborate with colleagues to provide innovative improvements to the existing processes.\nSpecific job responsibilities many involve the following assignments: project engineering support, facility engineering support, process flow sheet analysis and development, procurement requirements and specifications development, technical calculations and reviews, design reviews, safety analysis development, and commercial grade dedication.\nOther duties as assigned.\nAdditional responsibilities at the Senior Engineer III level:\nProvides innovative methods or solutions on a diverse range of highly complex problems that require in-depth analysis of multiple tangible and intangible factors and the creative use of established methods.\nCollaborates with colleagues across the company including senior management and periodically with outside stakeholders/organizations (e.g. DOE, regulators, affiliates).\nServes as the primary technical contact on large projects and collaborates with site industry experts as well as service, material and technology providers.\nDesign Authority (DA) responsible for maintaining assigned systems, structures, and/or components (SSCs) for assigned area and/or function.\nEnsures system configurations are managed safely and effectively.\nMaintains consistency between the Safety Basis/Technical Baseline and facility physical configurations.\nMonitors and tracks the status of assigned systems.\nProvides Operations assistance determining equipment operability, correcting out of specification conditions, and evaluating questionable data.\nOther duties as assigned.\nAdditional Information:\nCandidate(s) selected to receive an offer will be offered the position level commensurate with their education, experience, and qualifications.\nQualifications\nMaster's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university; or\nCurrently working towards a Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university with expected graduation by August 31, 2026 (applicant must include expected graduation date on resume); or\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university with years of relevant professional engineering experience\nAdditional Information:\nCandidate(s) selected to receive an offer will be offered the position level commensurate with their education, experience, and qualifications.\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of advanced engineering principles and practices to develop appropriate outputs\nWorking knowledge of National Codes and Standards\nFlexibility and adaptability to work in a changing environment with multiple demands and priorities\nGood organizational and communication skills.
