Additionally, this role involves providing application support to our business department personnel. This position entails full-stack development and programming responsibilities.\nResponsibilities\nDevelops and maintains web-based applications using company defined life cycle processes and secure coding techniques.\nPrepares documentation of program development, modifications to code and operating instructions. \nConducts program tests and may be required to analyze system capabilities to resolve input/output problems.\nAssists in research, design, development, and/or modification of systems and/or applications software.\nInvolved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.\nDevelops databases, tables, views and stored procedures using normalization.\n\nDevelops flow charts and diagrams outlining process steps in operation; develops and revises program code.\n\nDocuments testing and maintenance of system corrections.\nAssists in the design of web based, mobile technology, cloud, and security interface to meet the specific needs of users.\nMay have vendor management responsibility.\nWork is performed with direction and exercises some latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.\nAssists in the successful completion of projects.\nAdditional responsibilities at the IT Programmer Analyst level:\nPrepares documentation of program development, modifications to code and operating instructions. \nCreates complex queries using SQL to acquire required data.\nDevelops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications using company defined life cycle processes and secure coding techniques.\nEnsures supported commercial and developed applications meet site security requirements, department software life-cycle and software compliance standards.\nDevelops web-based, mobile technology, cloud, and security interface to meet the specific needs of users of moderate to high complexity.\nContributes to the preparation of short-range plans for applications and software selection, application and software roadmap, software systems development, systems and infrastructure maintenance planning, and production activities.\nDevelops entity relationship and process flow diagrams outlining current and proposed systems in development.\nDevelops, documents and performs application testing to resolve problems.\nMaintains up-to-date patches and upgrades for existing systems\nActs as a technical contact for projects and technical matters that need to be communicated to other departments and external personnel.\nWork is performed without appreciable direction.\nContributes to the successful completion of major projects where erroneous decisions could result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.\nAdditional responsibilities at the Senior IT Programmer Analyst I level:\nContributes to research, design, development, and/or modification of enterprise-wide systems and/or applications using company defined life cycle processes and secure coding techniques.\nDesigns web-based, mobile technology, cloud, and security interfaces to meet the specific needs of customers.\nContributes to the preparation of short and long-range plans for applications and software selection, application and software roadmap, software systems development, systems and infrastructure maintenance planning, and production activities.\nDevelops, documents and performs application testing and analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems.\nImplements and maintains IIS.\nReviews vendor proposals for purchases of hardware, software, and technical services to ensure adherence to technical specifications and site procedures.\nProvides guidance to less experienced programmer/analysts.\nWork is performed without direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.\nActs as a technical contact for projects with significant technical matters that need to be communicated to senior and external personnel.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree; or\nAssociate’s degree in Computer Science or related degree and relevant IT experience as described in the job description; or\nHigh School Diploma/GED and relevant IT experience as described in the job description.\nAdditional information:Candidate(s) selected to receive an offer will be offered the position level commensurate with their experience and qualifications.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's or Associate's degree\nJavaScript\nC#\n.NET\nSQL\nOOP - Object Oriented Programming\nAPI\njQuery\nMVC\nHTML\nCSS\nAbout\nSavannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract.
