We work closely with all divisions of Savant and GE Lighting, a Savant Company.\n Position Summary\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer with strong experience in both digital and analog circuit design to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for the design, development, testing, and validation of mixed-signal hardware systems from concept through production. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across firmware, software, and manufacturing teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop digital and analog circuits, including mixed-signal systems.\nCreate schematics, select components, and perform circuit simulations.\nDevelop and review PCB layouts with attention to signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.\nDesign and validate power supply circuits (LDOs, DC-DC converters, battery management systems).\nImplement high-speed digital interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, PCIe as applicable).\nDesign analog front ends (AFEs) including amplifiers, filters, ADC/DAC interfaces, and sensor signal conditioning.\nPerform circuit analysis, tolerance analysis, and worst-case design verification.\nDevelop and execute hardware validation test plans.\nTroubleshoot and debug boards using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.\nCollaborate with firmware and software engineers for board bring-up and system integration.\nSupport manufacturing, DFM/DFT reviews, and production test development.\nDocument designs, test results, and technical decisions clearly and thoroughly.\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.\n3+ years of experience in hardware design (mid-level; adjust as needed).\nStrong experience in digital circuit design (microcontrollers, high-speed interfaces).\nStrong experience in analog circuit design (op-amps, filters, ADC/DACs, power regulation).\nProficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, OrCAD, KiCad).\nExperience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).\nHands-on lab debugging and board bring-up experience.\nUnderstanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and grounding strategies.\nFamiliarity with EMI/EMC design best practices.\nStrong documentation and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with mixed-signal system architecture.\nExperience designing multilayer PCBs.\nFamiliarity with safety and compliance standards (e.g., UL, CE, FCC).\nExperience with low-power design techniques.\nExposure to embedded systems and firmware interaction.\nExperience in product lifecycle support from prototype to mass production.\nKey Competencies\nAnalytical and detail-oriented\nStrong problem-solving ability\nCross-functional collaboration\nOwnership mindset\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities\nCOMPENSATION\nThe base salary range is $90,000 - $140,000. The salary range listed is an estimate.
