The role will have oversight of other Education activities going on the province with the aim of strengthening collaboration, learning and good practice. The role will integrate education, with all the other thematic areas - child Protection, child poverty, child rights governance, health and education to ensure children and family’s benefit from an integrated service delivery model.\nThe post holder will guide and spearhead strengthening interventions to ensure safe school model and other education approaches are implemented in the program area.\nReports to: Program Manager - Petauke; with dotted line to TS Education\nSCOPE OF ROLE:\nReports to: Program Manager- Field Office with dotted line to TS Education\nDimensions:\nStaff directly reporting to this post: Nil\nKEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:\nProgramme management and quality:\n\n Overall responsible for the implementation of the Sponsorship Education programme in line with the project log frame and implementation plan\nWork in collaboration with other Education projects to ensure generation of evidence, learning and good practices.\nSupport partners implementing Education activities under Sponsorship project.\nDocumenting of project/partner experiences to capture the good and bad practices, the results and impacts achieved and any other experiences relevant for sharing with others.\nTrack partner implementation, budget spend and reporting of results\nWith support of the Programme Manager, develop work plan and budgets that contribute to achievement of overall project goal.\nAnalyse reports and funding requests from the partners and giving feed-back to ensure partner plans contribute to bigger project goal\nProvide on-going support through regular field visits and capacity strengthening of partner organisation in line with project goals.\nEnsure on going partner and project risk assessment and develop risk mitigation measures in consultation with Awards Manager and Programme Managers\nEnsure timely disbursement of funds to implementing partners including ensuring efficient utilisation of funds.\nLiaise with other practitioners in a similar field of work and with government on policy and practice issues and informing them of our interventions and work.\nEnsure effective activity and financial planning and implementation are in line with SCI and grant requirements.\nFacilitate community engagement including parents, caregivers and other duty bearers to support education and child rights.\nParticipate actively in finance/awards meetings and contribute to financial decision making\nEnsure that projects adhere to international standards and best practices, with full donor compliance (including delegated budget management responsibility).\nEnsure that high-quality reports are submitted on time.\nAdvocate on the importance of education in development and emergency settings by working with an advocacy partner.\nRepresent Save the Children to external partners in the field including government staff, NGOs, Local Leaders and other relevant.\nThe post holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.\nAdvocacy:\n\n In coordination with the Program Manager represent Save the Children to relevant government authorities, donors and members of the development community.\nContribute to advocacy and policy engagement at district and provincial level.\nWork with Partners on school governance advocacy and campaign issues affecting learners.\nSKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS (our Values in Practice)\nAccountability:\nHolds self-accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modelling Save the Children values\nHolds the team and partners accountable to deliver on their responsibilities - giving them the freedom to deliver in the best way they see fit, providing the necessary development to improve performance and applying appropriate consequences when results are not achieved\nAmbition:\nSets ambitious and challenging goals for themselves (and their team), takes responsibility for their own personal development and encourages others to do the same\nWidely shares their personal vision for Save the Children, engages and motivates others\nFuture orientated, thinks strategically\nCollaboration:\nBuilds and maintains effective relationships, with their team, colleagues, members and external partners and supporters\nValues diversity, sees it as a source of competitive strength\nApproachable, good listener, easy to talk to\nCreativity:\nDevelops and encourages new and innovative solutions\nWilling to take disciplined risks\nIntegrity:\nHonest, encourages openness and transparency\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nUniversity degree in Education, Social Sciences or relevant area;\nAt least 5 years of relevant working experience with right-based issues;
