As part of our Data Platforms team, you will work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to ensure high availability, security, and performance across on-premiseSQL Servers and Azure SQL Managed Instances. This is an on-site position in Copenhagen with minimal travel expectations.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.
Optimizedatabase performance through query tuning, indexing, and configuration adjustments.
Manage and maintainSQL Server (2019-2022) and Azure SQL Managed Instances for high availability and security.
Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to automate provisioning, deployments, and monitoring using CI/CD pipelines.
Implement security policies, access controls, and compliance measures.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations and troubleshooting.
Your Profile
You are a proactive team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and bring a positive, solution-oriented mindset to every challenge.
Required competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with expertisein troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure PaaS services and SQL Server environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiencyin SQL query optimization and scripting.
Relevant certifications (e.g.,Microsoft Azure) are a plus.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience with PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning.
Knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB (especially with MongoDB API).
