Sayed Farms Limited is specialized in poultry sector covering all its major aspects, and also in the distribution of frozen food in the Nigerian Market. Our line of frozen products has expanded to include the finest quality of chicken, potatoes, cheese, vegetables, seafood, and ice cream products in the market.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Accountant

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary

• The successful candidate will ensure accurate project accounting, effective budgetary control, proper documentation of project expenditures, and compliance with company financial policies.
• Oversee the financial management, cost monitoring, and reporting of company projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare project financial reports, cost analyses, budget variance reports, and expenditure summaries.
• Reconcile project accounts, supplier statements, payment schedules, and supporting financial documents.
• Work closely with the Projects, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance teams to validate project costs and monitor spending.
• Support project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and cost-control initiatives.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
• Track project-related expenses, commitments, invoices, payments, and outstanding liabilities.
• Ensure accurate recording and allocation of project costs in line with approved budgets and accounting standards.
• Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.

Requirements

• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or agribusiness.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
