position below:\n\nJob Title: Project Accountant \n\nLocation: Ibadan, Oyo\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nDepartment: Finance & Accounts\n\nJob Summary \n\nThe successful candidate will ensure accurate project accounting, effective budgetary control, proper documentation of project expenditures, and compliance with company financial policies.\nOversee the financial management, cost monitoring, and reporting of company projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare project financial reports, cost analyses, budget variance reports, and expenditure summaries.\nReconcile project accounts, supplier statements, payment schedules, and supporting financial documents.\nWork closely with the Projects, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance teams to validate project costs and monitor spending.\nSupport project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and cost-control initiatives.\nMonitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure compliance with approved budgets.\nTrack project-related expenses, commitments, invoices, payments, and outstanding liabilities.\nEnsure accurate recording and allocation of project costs in line with approved budgets and accounting standards.\nEnsure proper documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.\n\nRequirements\n\nStrong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.\nMinimum of 5 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or agribusiness.\nStrong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.\nICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nOpportunities for career growth
