This role requires a professional who can seamlessly integrate sophisticated design solutions with strategic marketing objectives, grounded in an existing brand system. The ideal candidate will have exceptional social instincts, a solid understanding of brand identity, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.\nThe Freelance Graphic Designer will work closely with Saylor’s Art Directors and Design Lead to design and format pitch decks and mocks, and execute day-to-day design needs of specific agency clients. You will be responsible for building visually compelling content and executing comprehensive design needs for campaigns. You will work across platforms, art styles, and a diverse set of client needs. We are looking for a passionate designer who is able to communicate effectively and foster a positive work environment.\nAbout You\nYou are a design fundamentalist with a social-first filter. You have a deep appreciation for the \"rules\" of a brand system but know exactly how to bend them to make a post feel native to a specific platform. You have a strong eye for layout and typography, and you take pride in the details that make a design feel premium. You are a fast, iterative thinker who can look at a library of assets and quickly see how to combine them into something fresh and engaging. You thrive in a collaborative environment where ideas are shared freely, and you are always looking for ways to elevate the visual voice of the brands you work on. You are self-motivated and comfortable taking a project from a loose concept to a polished, final deliverable with minimal hand-holding.\nLocation and Salary\nThis is a freelance role with a salary range of $50-$75/hr, depending on experience. This person must be West Coast-based. The ability to come into Saylor’s Echo Park (Los Angeles) office twice weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays is a plus.\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop and implement high-quality visual elements across various media, including digital, social, and more.\nExecute social-first design work that is strictly grounded in and elevates existing brand systems.\nConcept, iterate, and build visually compelling content autonomously using provided asset libraries.\nOversee multiple assets from conception through completion in collaboration with cross-functional team members.\nWork closely with the ACD/Art Director and cross-functional team members to verify design specifications are met.\nBring client visions to life with high creative standards while staying on the pulse of industry trends.\nIntegrate new design technologies and methodologies to keep the agency at the forefront of design innovation.\nResearch and educate yourself on our client’s visual goals to ensure all creative is strategically aligned.\nPitch artistic directions internally to help guide the visual trajectory of a campaign.\nProvide quality control on all assets to ensure they meet platform nuances and technical requirements before delivery.\nQualifications\n3+ years of graphic design experience within a creative agency in the entertainment sector or a similar fast-paced environment.\nAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, InDesign), Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Keynote, and project management software (Asana/Monday.com).
