We offer a competitive compensation package, flexible and hybrid work schedules, and a comprehensive benefits program to attract and retain the best professionals in the field.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nMay provide some technical guidance for design personnel.\nEDUCATION\nCurrently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nInternship classification normally requires completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering. Previous internship experience is preferred, but not required. Must possess the eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship.\nTYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nConducts field trips to existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information.\nGathers data to help prepare equipment specifications, inquiry and purchase requisitions for approval.\nEvaluates vendors' bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications for simple equipment and specialty items. \nParticipates in the preparation of equipment lists, piping line lists and specialty item lists.\nParticipates in preparation of design guides, guide specifications and contract proposals.\nParticipates in plant Start-ups. \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nThis role will collaborate within a multi-discipline team in an effort to fully develop, deliver and complete a successful project. As part of this collaborative effort, this role requires the presence of the individual working within a group setting, with regular interaction during meetings and one-on-one, face-to-face discussions with other individuals on the team on a daily basis.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before clients or employees of the organization.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nOccasionally may conduct or participate in a field trip to an operating plant or construction site. This requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nNormal work environment will be a business office with moderate noise. Occasionally may visit or be temporarily assigned to work in an operating plant or at a construction site.
