Hybrid (Min 3 days per week in the office)\nSalary: £38,000\nHours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week\nAbout The Role\nSBFM are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to take ownership of our end-to-end Accounts Payable function.\nThis is a hands-on role, with no direct reports, and would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, working independently and ensuring that processes are managed accurately and efficiently from start to finish.\nYou will be responsible for managing a high-volume AP function, processing approximately 800 supplier invoices each month, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and working closely with internal stakeholders across the business.\nThe role will also play an important part in improving our AP processes and controls, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and support the continued growth of SBFM.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the processing of circa 800 supplier invoices per month, ensuring accuracy, correct coding and timely posting.\nOwn and manage purchase order workflows, ensuring POs are raised, approved and reconciled against invoices.\nWork with budget holders to resolve PO and invoice discrepancies and improve compliance with the PO process.\nAct as the main point of contact for Accounts Payable queries, working with both internal and external stakeholders.\nInvestigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment delays and supplier account queries.\nMaintain strong supplier relationships and manage regular supplier statement reconciliations.\nPrepare and execute monthly payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time.\nPrepare and submit payment practice reporting in line with statutory requirements.\nMonitor payment performance and identify opportunities to improve compliance with agreed payment terms.\nSet up new suppliers, ensuring bank details and other key information are accurate and appropriately verified.\nComplete regular bank reconciliations and promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies.\nAdminister and manage company credit cards, working with cardholders to resolve queries and ensure compliance with company policy.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records and AP ledger data.\nSupport month-end close activities, including relevant accruals and reconciliations.\nIdentify opportunities to improve AP processes, controls, efficiency and automation.\nAbout You\nWe are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who is confident taking ownership of a busy, high-volume function.\nYou will have:\nProven experience in an Accounts Payable Manager or senior AP role.\nExperience managing high-volume invoice processing.\nStrong experience with purchase order workflows and payment runs.\nExcellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach.\nThe ability to manage a busy, deadline-driven workload independently.\nStrong communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.\nA proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.\nExperience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be desirable.\nWhy SBFM?\nAt SBFM, we are a leading provider of soft facilities management services, delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions to our clients.\nWe believe our people are at the heart of our success, and our values shape the way we work:\nBe a Good Person -
