Whilst this role is a supervising role, the main duties of the role will involve cleaning alongside your wider team.\nAll of your uniform, equipment and products will be provided to allow you to carry out your role to a high standard, as well as the support of an Area and Regional Management Team.\nAvailable Shift Pattern's:\nMonday & Wednesday: 05:30 - 13:00Tuesday & Thursday: 05:30 - 15:00\nFriday: 05:30 - 13:15\n\nIG8 8GN \nNote: This role is subject to a DBS check.\nSupervisor Cleaning Duties - Gym & Spa Environment\nDaily Cleaning Responsibilities\nEnsure all gym floor areas are cleaned and presented to the required standard.\nClean and inspect changing rooms, showers, toilets, and washroom facilities.\nClean spa areas, including relaxation rooms, treatment corridors, and reception areas.\nEnsure swimming pool surrounds are kept clean, dry, and free from hazards.\nEmpty bins and replace liners throughout the facility.\nDust and wipe all touch points, including door handles, lockers, handrails, and switches.\nClean mirrors, glass, and internal windows.\nEnsure all cleaning schedules are completed and signed off.\nTeam Supervision\nAllocate daily duties to cleaning operatives.\nConduct shift handovers and team briefings.\nMonitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance.\nEnsure all cleaners are working safely and following company procedures.\nProvide on-the-job training and support to new and existing team members.\nCarry out spot checks to ensure cleaning standards are maintained.\nReport any performance concerns to the Area Manager.\nHealth & Safety Responsibilities\nEnsure colour coding systems are followed correctly.\nMonitor correct use of chemicals and COSHH procedures.\nEnsure wet floor signs and safety equipment are used appropriately.\nComplete health and safety inspections within the facility.\nReport and escalate accidents, incidents, or near misses.\nEnsure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored safely.\nStock Control\nMonitor stock levels of chemicals, consumables, and cleaning equipment.\nComplete stock counts and place replenishment requests.\nEnsure cleaning cupboards remain clean, organised, and compliant.\nReport damaged or missing equipment.\nAudits & Quality Control\nComplete regular cleaning audits and quality inspections.\nCarry out corrective actions following failed audits.\nDocument and monitor any recurring cleaning issues.\nEnsure client standards and contract specifications are met at all times.\nSupport site preparation for client visits, inspections, and audits.\nClient & Site Support\nAct as the first point of contact for cleaning-related issues on site.\nBuild positive relationships with gym management and staff.\nRespond promptly to complaints and service requests.\nEscalate concerns to the Area Manager where necessary.\nEnsure all client requests are actioned and communicated to the team.\nAdministrative Duties\nComplete supervisor checklists and site reports.\nMaintain cleaning records and attendance records.\nSubmit weekly updates to management.\nReport staffing shortages, holiday requests, and absence issues.\nAssist with recruitment, inductions, and training where required.\nSupervisor Expectations\nLead by example at all times.\nMaintain high standards of appearance and professionalism.\nEnsure excellent attention to detail across all areas of the gym and spa.\nPromote a positive and productive working environment.\nDrive continuous improvement in cleaning standards and customer satisfaction.\nWhat we offer:\n28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)\nAccess to our Paywise+ App that allows you to track your shifts and withdraw your pay anytime\nEmployee Assistance Scheme \nTraining and opportunity to develop with SBFM\nOur Values:\nEach value summarises our shared commitment to excellence, integrity, collaboration and innovation.
