Due to the nature of our business, there will be a requirement for flexibility on working hours. Some weekend work will be required as well as the potential for longer distance travel which could see overnight stays.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nImplementation of the company strategy to allow us to reach our objectives. \nReview the financial forecasts and company targets. \nLeading, motivating and effectively managing your people to allow the Company strategies and your objectives to be implemented and delivered. \nProviding your people with clear job role and responsibilities, objectives and KPIs and regularly providing them with feedback on, and adequate reward for, their performance. \nEffectively managing poor performance, taking guidance from HR. This may include taking disciplinary action where appropriate, in line with Company procedures. \nManaging absence of direct reports in line with Company policies and procedures. \nCommunications regularly with your Region on business objectives, team performance and other relevant issues. \nEnsuring that all direct and indirect reports are aware of their responsibilities regarding Health & Safety, Environmental, Sustainability and Quality policies. \nWinning sufficient new business to meet budget targets and ensure that all resource is fully utilised. \nDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contract decision makers, staff and external bodies to aid business development and retention. \nAttending customer meetings as required. \nDeveloping the service offering in line with client requirements, responding to client concerns and implementing corrective / preventative action when required. \nContinually improving the gross profitability of your Region by implementing and maintaining effective estimating, project management and cost control process and procedures. \nEnsuring all projects meet or exceed financial targets, putting plans in place to address any potential shortfalls. \nEscalating commercial issues to the Managing Directors where appropriate. \nDemonstrating within their sphere of control a proactive approach to compliance with legislative requirements and the standards achieved and maintained by the business. \nEnsuring organisational arrangements are suitable and sufficient and communicated throughout the areas of the business for which they have responsibility. \nEstablishing in conjunction with health and safety manager a programme of training for all line managers and operatives to ensure that they have the skills, knowledge and experience for the roles and tasks for which they are given.\nEnsure that the allocated Projects/ Operations Director has the resources to meet legislative requirements and contractual obligations applicable to this project. \nEstablish ongoing support and liaison with the health and safety team to ensure that the entire project team have the necessary support for preparing this Management Health and Safety Plan, planning the works and monitoring the project throughout the construction phase. \nQualifications and Skills\nExperience in successfully managing a large team delivering high value turnover. \nIOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to complete the training with SBFM within the first 3 months of employment. \nManagement of Health and Safety policy and standards. \nPC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office. \nCDM regulations knowledge. \nCommercial Awareness. \nExperience of commercial management and reporting on WIP. \nFull driving licence. \nThe successful candidate will receive:\n20 days holiday plus bank holidays\nCar allowance\nPension Scheme\nInternal mentoring scheme \nRegular company events\nCommitment to SBFM Values\nBe a Good Person\nWe give people opportunities and embrace their inherent goodness.
