Technical Leadership\nLead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade applications using Ruby on Rails.\nDefine scalable architecture and technical solutions aligned with business objectives.\nDrive technical discussions, solution reviews, and architectural governance.\nEstablish development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.\nIdentify technical risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.\n2. Application Development\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain web applications and APIs using Ruby on Rails.\nDesign and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.\nOptimize application performance, scalability, availability, and security.\nEnsure high code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.\n3. Team Management & Mentoring\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to developers.\nFoster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.\nConduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.\nSupport team members in technical problem-solving and career development.\n4. Stakeholder Collaboration\nWork closely with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps teams, QA teams, and business stakeholders.\nTranslate business requirements into robust technical solutions.\nParticipate in effort estimation, release planning, and project execution.\nQualifications\nStrong experience in Ruby on Rails development.\nProficiency in Ruby, Rails ecosystem, and related frameworks.\nExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.\nStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and design patterns.\nExpertise with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.\nGood understanding of caching technologies such as Redis and Memcached.\nExperience with background job processing tools such as Sidekiq, Delayed Job or Resque.\nHands-on experience with Git and version control systems.\nStrong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including TDD/BDD.\nCompany Overview\nAt SBS, we’re more than just a technology company, we’re a global fintech partner helping banks and financial institutions transform, innovate, and grow.
