This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.\nAnalyse the SBV technology landscape and decide on the appropriate balance between cloud-based and on-premises solutions and hosting options, taking maturity levels, agility, quick response, security, and cost into account.\nIdentify and evaluate current and future infrastructure needs, using a Proof of Concept (POC) methodology to test and assess feasibility and benefits of the solution.\nDeliver the desired architecture and systems that adhere to modern infrastructure security hygiene and best practices.\nExecute Analysis and Design Activities\nIdentify opportunities to integrate, conduct scheduled inspections, and prepare design tests and experiments to enhance certainty in the management process and effective utilization of resources.\nDesign a state-of-the-art infrastructure landscape that accommodates and aligns with the new design solutions and influences business requirements to accelerate the use of modernised infrastructure that will deliver an agile ICT environment.\nResearch and recommend ways to consolidate, rationalize, and simplify the infrastructure based on assessing current opportunities to eliminate unnecessary complexity.\nDevelop business cases that outline alternative solutions to existing infrastructure and assist the business in making decisions.\nPlan, implement, and monitor the development and enhancement of infrastructure projects, ensuring business continuity as the project progresses.\nTechnical implementation in own area\nDetermine the health and functionality of the network by defining, measuring, and meeting agreed key operational metrics.\nMonitor and report on the health of the environment, identifying risk areas, planning, and implementing mitigation and risk reduction measures.\nIdentify, anticipate, and ensure the availability of service demand requirements for the business.\nDefine and document service demand, uptime, and backup requirements.\nImplement security-related automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence that can assist in securing SBV's assets (people, hardware, and software).\nResponsible for all Technology assets, including forecasting lifespans, replacement values, and maximising their usage and full value.\nVendor Management\nManage vendor relationships with a clearly defined vendor management framework and set expectations in accordance with the approved scope of work.\nAssist in the negotiation of contracts, the establishment of service level agreements (SLAs), and the monitoring and review of performance against the SLA.\nResponsible for strategic vendors and suppliers who support the maintenance of SBV infrastructure assets, network and database management deliver the agreed-upon value.\nStakeholder and Customer Management\nManage day-to-day operations across the team, continuously improving performance, cost, and satisfaction for the end user.\nEnhance stakeholder engagement to address issues, improve relations, and provide information on project status.\nManage incident and problem management together with the operations team to meet SLA targets, ando Retain high customer standards, ensuring 99.9% uptime, resolution, or a new solution redesign.\n\nQuality Management\nAssist with the testing and implementation of emerging technologies and solutions in the cloud, automation, machine learning, analytics, and artificial intelligence space.\nEstablish standards of work to maintain consistency by ensuring processes and procedures are documented for a cohesive team.\nRisk Management\nMaintain and implement infrastructure security standards and measures to protect ICT assets from relevant security risks.\nPerform physical security checks, maintenance internally or through vendors, managing changes, logging into systems, endpoint security, firewalls, and establishing governance controls.\nManage logical access control, internal control, data retention, data safeguarding, data archiving, backups, and disaster recovery.\nMaintain clean audit results by conducting monthly self-assessments based on defined internal controls, anticipating and documenting risks, and reporting on gaps and mitigation activities.\nReporting\nProvide weekly and monthly management and status reports on operational infrastructure availability, continuity, and capacity in accordance with key performance metrics.\nFacilitate communication across business units, identify change management interventions and timelines from the project's perspective, and present the project status to the steering committee.\nSubscribe and align to SBV Services' ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards, ensuring the department’s processes and quality management system is at all times in compliance with the standard\nSupport SBVs ESG journey, reporting on and managing the ESG requirements to ensure a positive reflection and outcome.\nFinance\nResponsible for the planning, and management of Technology Infrastructure budgets (OPEX and CAPEX).\nManage the budget in accordance with the financial parameters and standards of the projects/programmes.\nDevelop a business case to motivate and secure funding, and ensure the budget includes financial requirements.\nLeadership and People Management\nManages the effective use of the department’s resources to improve organisational productivity and delivery.\nProvide Subject Matter Expertise in critical support issues where your experience is required to ascertain the issue quickly and to find the more appropriate resolution.On a monthly basis, manage the headcount in accordance with SBV principles and policies, including notifying HR of team cancellations, new business, and new initiatives.\nManage recruitment, performance management, training, career development programs, succession planning, resource planning, and HR processes across the team.\nLead and manage employees' end-to-end performance management process, inspire, and encourage your team to deliver on key performance areas, and provide the necessary the necessary presentations, workshops, or forums to ensure consistent and accurate communication is given across one’s portfolio.\nRequirements\nMinimum Requirements: Work Experience and Education\n8 years of experience within an Information Technology environment, of which:\n3 years of experience in network design and administration, data centre operations, database administration, and systems programming and administration.\n3 years in working with the RPA enabled, cloud based or on premise, and hybrid infrastructure environment.\n\nExperience working on projects with cross functional teams in an Agile environment\nDegree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field\nCertification in relevant Enterprise Architecture or Technology frameworks and methodologies (Advantageous)\nCloud certifications AWS or AZURE or GCP (Advantageous)\nISO27001 accreditation
