This is to ensure positive linking of suspects and prosecution.\nPrepare an investigation docket in electronic and hardcopy form in accordance with internal requirements.\nInvestigate Early Warning Intelligence reports (EWI) and report findings to the Manager: External Investigations.\nInteract with law enforcement agencies, other relevant parties, etc., who have a direct or indirect interest in the investigation. This includes clients, other banking institutions, internal business units, etc.\nArrange for cellular data analysis at crime scenes to identify possible suspects or provide evidence linking known suspects to crime scenes.\nATM-related and back-office system investigations across all Banks\nAnalyse and interrogate all ATM systems, incident location data, IP addresses, photos, and videos of the ATM at the time of the crime, analysis of bank account activity, transaction data, and other documentation.\nInvestigate bank-specific software, including hardware and software reports (EG, NP200 Report, ABSA Sinns Reports etc.)\nCompile and complete accurate investigation reports and submit to the Head: Internal Investigations and Intelligence.\nRecovery of monetary losses or items by means of direct and/or civil recovery processes.\nWith the help of a law enforcement agency (if necessary), recover stolen items during the investigation process.\nProvide all necessary details and assistance to external agencies in relation to civil recovery processes.\nKeep and maintain proper records of all cases and civil recovery processes.\nAssist in the recovery of losses sustained by SBV as a result of money laundering and racketeering through the forfeiture and prosecution of assets.\nInternal disciplinary processes\nAssist with witness testimony during disciplinary hearings, CCMA cases and/or external prosecution processes.\nAssure that proper disciplinary action is taken against perpetrators who were involved with incidents investigated.\nRepresent SBV during disciplinary hearings and ensure that the case is presented in accordance with the law.\nSupport civil and criminal prosecution process\nTo criminally prosecute perpetrators, open criminal dockets with the appropriate law enforcement agency.\nAssist the State in the criminal prosecution process by providing witness testimony.\nAssist secure prosecution by interacting with law enforcement; State Prosecutor and SAPS' Investigating Officers.\nAssist in civil prosecution processes by providing evidence and/or testimony as necessary.\nProvide Intelligence Reports\nUpdate records and information updated regularly in order to conduct trend analysis and behavioural patterns to identify red flags for further investigation. This includes updating records with regard to the type of incidents, category of losses, details of perpetrators, modus operandi, etc.\nInteract with SABRIC with regard to crime trends, analysis, modus operandi and identified suspects within the CIT Industry. The utilization of this information to conduct further information gathering and or implement with investigations.\nProvide input into annual reports covering statistics from the CIT Industry compared with SBV Services and submit to the Manager: Internal Investigations.\nStakeholder Management.\nAssist and communicate with customers with regard to incidents under investigation in an efficient manner in order to drive customer service.\nAttend meetings with the relevant line managers, regional managers, etc. when required with regards to incidents under own investigation.\nProvide input into the development and implementation of investigative methodologies, standards and policies.\nParticipate in forums, workshops, seminars, and other legal forensic fraternities.\nSecure and build relationships with law enforcement agencies in a legal and ethical manner.\nConfidentiality and Governance\nAlways ensures the confidentiality of information and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures and the POPI Act.\nSupport SBVs ESG journey, reporting on and managing the ESG requirements to ensure a positive reflection and outcome.\nSubscribe and align to SBV Services' ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards, ensuring the department’s processes and quality management system is always in compliance with the standard.\nLead as an Ambassador and executor of change\nAct as a change management architect in periods of change to ensure business continuity.\nManage the integration of business units into a seamless end to end solution for customers.\nEffectively communicate and embed new processes and procedures as they occur, addressing or escalating matters/ concerns to the SME’s (subject matter experts) when required.\nFacilitate the necessary presentations, workshops, or forums to ensure consistent and accurate communication is given across one’s portfolio.\nRequirements\nMinimum Work Experience Required\n4 years of experience in investigations in the ATM industry, commercial crimes or cybersecurity\n4 years of experience in Banking systems relating to ATM Investigations\nDetective in the SAPS, Hawks (Advantageous)\nPolygraph/ Voice Stress Examiner experience (Advantageous)\nMinimum Education Required\nNational Higher Certificate (NQF 5) or Diploma in Criminal Investigations, Forensic Science and/or Forensic or Fraud Investigation or Investigative field\nCompleted vetting course through recognised
