The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $23.50 this role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.\nJoin Our Team as an Assembler!\nAs a Pad-Mount Gear Assembler, you’ll play a key role in building high-quality electrical enclosures that support the reliability of the power grid.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssemble pad-mount gear enclosures ranging in size from 42” x 37” x 70” to 86” x 94” x 76”.\nIdentify, transport, install, mount, and bolt all types of components (ranging from 5 lbs. to 100 lbs., with assistance), including bus assemblies, high-voltage switches, mounting and support plates, lock assemblies, doors, and roofs.\nPerform mechanical inspections using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.\nUse material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, air-impact tools, gauges, and overhead cranes.\nWork in a fast-paced assembly environment following standardized work instructions and meeting specified Takt Time requirements.\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required \nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:\nAbility to follow standard work, including specific written instructions and procedures.\nAbility to perform basic subassemblies.\nProficiency with air-impact tools and other hand-held tools.\nMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn assembly processes.\nPreferred: Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing.\nPreferred:\nPrevious experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment a plus.\nPhysical Demands:\nStanding: Most tasks performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.\nLifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.\nWalking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).\nCarrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.\nPushing/Pulling: Occasional use of powered hand trucks to move parts moderate distances.\nBending: Frequent bending and crouching required to complete assembly tasks.\nReaching: Continuous full range of motion from above shoulders to below knees.\nHandling: Continuous handling of parts ranging from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.\nS&C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
