The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $87990 - $116578.80. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.\nThis position may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and individual performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 5% of annual base earnings.\nThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance and engineering support to the shop floor. This includes optimization of processes and procedures, performing engineering studies on new products/processes, validation efforts, performing root cause analysis conceptual process, tooling design, and hands on troubleshooting. The Manufacturing Engineer will interface with multiple departments including production, quality control, design engineering and the leadership group.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality standards.\nProvide hands-on technical support to the shop floor, including troubleshooting complex or systemic manufacturing issues.\nAnalyze and optimize manufacturing processes using LEAN principles to improve efficiency, safety, quality, cost, and delivery.\nPerform engineering studies related to new products, process changes, and equipment implementation.\nSupport validation activities to ensure new or revised processes meet operational and quality requirements.\nConduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions for production issues.\nProvide producibility and design-for-manufacturing input during the product design and development process.\nDesign or support the development of conceptual tooling and fixtures to improve process capability and product quality.\nDevelop and maintain process documentation, including process maps, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.\nEstimate production times, staffing requirements, and related manufacturing costs to support business and management decisions.\nCollaborate with production, quality, engineering, and leadership teams to align manufacturing capabilities with production schedules and business objectives.\nWhat we are looking for:\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.\n5+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) designation. \nWorking knowledge of fabrication and assembly equipment and manufacturing processes.\nDemonstrated experience with tooling design, materials selection, and production equipment.\nStrong understanding and practical application of LEAN manufacturing principles.\nProven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing systems and processes.\nPractical knowledge of project management concepts.\nExperience using 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, SolidEdge or equivalent.\nExperience with welding is an asset.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.\nAbility to collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to support decision-making.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.\nExperience with process design, process mapping, and time studies is preferred.\nPhysical Effort:\nNormal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace.
