The estimated per hourly range for this position is $22 - 30 per hour based on experience.\nCompetitive Weekly Pay Period\nThe Mechanical Engineering Intern will assist the Manager - Process Engineering and other project engineers with process engineering & facilities related tasks associated with engineering projects. Process & Facilities projects are related to electroplating, finishing, painting, waste treatment, system design, building design and construction, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, building renovation/remodeling projects, equipment replacements and upgrades, plant rearrangement, machinery installations and moves, and modifications to existing process systems including plating, finishing, polymers.\nThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nPerform engineering tasks/calculations.\n\nWrite basic functional descriptions of different mechanical systems.\n\nField verification of existing conditions.\n\nResearch to find equipment to meet specified requirements based on the calculations performed.\n\nPrepare CAD layouts and drawings on Microstationor Autocad.\n\nWork with contractors to get projects implemented/installed.\n\nPrepare engineering documentation for various projects being performed by engineers.\n\nTo select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:\nMust be in good standing as a student at the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level at an accredited university majoring in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and returning to school full-time at the end of the internship.\n\nExcellent communication skills and basic math/bookkeeping skills.\n\nFamiliarity with Microstation, AutoCadand/or other CAD software.\n\nComputer proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel.\n\nMAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nStanding: Frequent.\n\nLifting: Infrequent under 35 pounds.\n\nWalking: Frequent.\n\nCarrying: Infrequent under 35 pounds.\n\nPushing: Infrequent.\n\nPulling: Infrequent.\n\nBending: Infrequent.\n\nReaching: Infrequent.\n\nHandling: Infrequent.\n\nEnvironment: Primarily Office.\n\nReady to make an impact and become an employee-owner?
