SUMMARY

The Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Solutions Engineer is

a senior-level, client-facing, billable engineering role responsible for

designing, implementing, and delivering technology solutions across client

environments. This is a hands-on project delivery position focused on

infrastructure modernization, Microsoft 365 and Azure initiatives, networking,

security, virtualization, business continuity, and cloud transformation

projects. The successful candidate will own projects from design through implementation

while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, supportable, documented, and

recoverable. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building solutions,

solving complex technical challenges, and serving as a trusted advisor to

clients.

Success is measured by consistent delivery of high-quality

billable project work, secure and scalable solution design, project leadership

with minimal rework and strong client communication, root-cause resolution of

complex issues, excellent documentation and operational standards, and

contributions to team growth through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

The ideal candidate is the engineer who clients trust to

solve difficult problems and deliver meaningful outcomes: someone who can

confidently design solutions, lead implementations, modernize infrastructure,

strengthen security, validate recoverability, and communicate effectively with

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Design & Project Delivery

• Design,

  scope, and implement infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, and

  business continuity solutions.

• Lead

  technical delivery of projects from discovery through implementation and

  documentation.

• Conduct

  client-facing design sessions and provide technical recommendations.

• Ensure

  all solutions align with organizational standards and best practices.

Microsoft Cloud & Azure

• Architect

  and implement Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID,

  Intune, and Azure solutions.

• Lead

  tenant migrations, cloud transformations, security hardening, and identity

  modernization projects.

• Design

  and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments and related Azure

  infrastructure.

Networking, Security & Virtualization

• Design

  and support routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, wireless, firewalls, and

  multi-site networks.

• Implement

  and support Fortinet and other security platforms.

• Administer

  VMware and Hyper-V environments, including migrations, upgrades, and

  optimization.

• Establish

  security baselines, hardening standards, and recovery strategies.

Backup, Recovery & Automation

• Design

  and validate backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

• Establish

  and document RTO/RPO objectives and recovery procedures.

• Develop

  PowerShell automation and process improvements.

• Maintain

  documentation, SOPs, diagrams, and technical standards.

Technical Leadership

• Serve

  as a senior escalation resource for complex infrastructure and cloud

  issues.

• Act as

  a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal teams.

• Mentor

  engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure, systems, cloud, or consulting

  experience.

• Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
• Proven ability to design and implement complete technology

  solutions.

• Advanced experience with Windows Server and Active

  Directory.

• Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and

  Intune.

• Advanced experience with Azure infrastructure.
• Advanced experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Advanced experience with networking, firewalls, VPNs, and

  security technologies.

• Advanced experience with backup and disaster recovery

  solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and client

  communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Nerdio experience.
• Fortinet certifications or experience.
• PowerShell automation experience.
• Datto, RocketCyber, Inky, and MSP security tools.
