The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with routing and switching, BGP, Juniper network technologies, and datacenter environments. Experience with network design, security appliances, network overlays, and automation is highly valued. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise and datacenter network infrastructure.\nServe as a senior technical escalation point for complex network incidents and issues.\nConfigure and manage routing and switching infrastructure across production environments.\nDeploy and maintain BGP sessions across WAN, public, and datacenter network environments.\nConfigure and support Juniper EX/QFX switching and SRX security appliances.\nProvision network services including servers, firewalls, GRE tunnels, and related connectivity.\nInvestigate and troubleshoot network incidents while minimizing customer impact and service disruption.\nWork with internal teams, customers, network providers, transit providers, and cross-connect partners to resolve connectivity issues.\nParticipate in network upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and infrastructure expansion.\nSupport router, switch, uplink, and network resource upgrades.\nAssist with the deployment of new network locations and points of presence.\nFollow formal change management processes and participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities.\nMonitor network performance, availability, capacity, and utilization.\nIdentify opportunities to improve network reliability, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.\nMaintain network documentation, configurations, diagrams, and technical procedures.\nSupport incident management and communicate with affected clients through resolution.\nStay current with networking technologies, security practices, and industry best practices.\nContribute to automation and operational improvements using scripting and network automation tools where applicable.\nRequirements QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, preferably in enterprise, datacenter, telecommunications, or financial services environments.\nStrong technical expertise in routing and switching.\nStrong hands-on experience with Juniper networking technologies, particularly EX/QFX switches and SRX firewalls.\nStrong understanding and practical experience with BGP.\nExperience designing, implementing, and supporting networks in large-scale datacenter and/or metro environments.\nStrong understanding of network security principles, firewall technologies, and secure network architecture.\nExperience supporting high-availability and business-critical network environments.\nStrong understanding of Linux and Windows Server operating systems.\nExperience troubleshooting complex network connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues.\nAbility to work independently on complex technical issues and take ownership from investigation through resolution.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, customers, vendors, and service providers.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on minimizing service disruption.\nExperience with formal change management and CAB processes. o JNCIP or equivalent professional-level networking experience preferred. o JNCIE or equivalent expert-level experience is highly desirable. o Experience with the following is preferred: o VXLAN/EVPN o Arista low-latency switching o Packet capture and network traffic analysis o DWDM and optical networking o Network automation o Python or other scripting languages\nExperience supporting financial services, trading, or other low-latency datacenter environments is highly preferred. CERTIFICATIONS\nJNCIP - Juniper Networks Certified Professional or equivalent experience - Preferred\nJNCIE - Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert or equivalent experience - Highly Preferred\nAdditional networking certifications such as CCNP are advantageous.
