You'll help these customers build production-grade data pipelines, working closely with our Product, Engineering, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate is a generalist software engineer who enjoys working with clients, takes ambiguous problems and turns them into practical solutions, and collaborates closely with Product and Engineering along the way.\nAn active TS/SCI clearance is required.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild end-to-end data integrations that sync customer data to and from Scale's platform\nWork with customers' engineering teams to optimize data pipelines, including input on API endpoint design and input/output schemas\nDesign and maintain playbooks, internal tools, documentation, and SDKs that set customers up for long-term success\nPartner with engineers and Operations to resolve technical blockers, debug delivery issues, and own technical escalations from customers\nOwn the customer's technical experience throughout their time with Scale\nWork with Account Executives and Product Managers to identify customer-specific feature requests\nDevelop expertise in large language models, 2D image annotation, and API integrations\nRepresent Scale and engage with customers at major events\nWhat We're Looking For\nExperience as a customer-facing engineer or in a similar hybrid role\nHands-on technical experience working with clients in a pre- or post-sales capacity\nDevelopment experience with Python, JavaScript, or other modern languages\nA strong engineering background, ideally in computer science, mathematics, or another quantitative field\nStrong project management and interpersonal skills\nThe ability to present credibly to both executives and front-line engineers\nComfort communicating across internal and external teams\nIntellectual curiosity, empathy, and the ability to move quickly\nNice to Have\nExperience in AI\nExperience working in classified environments\nPrior experience as a technical go-to-market resource\nUnderstanding of DevSecOps principles, including secure software delivery, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts\nExperience automating infrastructure with Ansible or similar tools\nCompensation packages at Scale for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits.
