Role\nWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Project Manager to drive exciting and innovative microgrid projects in various locations across the West.\nYou will report to the Senior Director, Project Management, and work on a hybrid basis out of either our Santa Monica or Oakland, CA offices.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nServe as the project manager for individual microgrid construction projects for our customers from contract signature through commissioning\nEnsure our internal company functions (i.e., Business Development, Engineering, Service) are aligned throughout the project execution process\nPrepare project schedules, operating rhythms, and sequence of operations to ensure all stakeholders (customers, contractors, material/ equipment vendors, and local regulatory agencies) are informed and engaged\nEvaluate and manage 3rd party agreements and relationships with Contractors/EPCs and other material and service providers\nManage bid solicitation, bid review, selection, contractor negotiations, and establish and maintain project budgets\nTrack project costs and schedules to ensure the project is delivered on time and on target\nProactively identify and resolve conflicts and develop and implement viable solutions\nInform the development of our Project Management function to keep pace with our company’s rapid growth.\nThe Ideal Candidate\n10+ years of experience in construction management, general contracting, logistics, engineering, energy industry, or military experience\nAn understanding of building code and regulations\nExcellent communication skills and customer service skills\nCritical thinking and creative problem-solving skills\nProactive and mission-driven behavior\nAble to work autonomously and be comfortable representing Scale in customer-facing situations\nHighly organized and self-motivated, with determination to work through challenges\nTeam player who supports the growth of others with experience managing direct reports\nCompetency in Procore, MS Project (or similar scheduling software), G-suite/MS Office\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
