Plastic Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Plastics Engineer. In this role, you will assist in the design, development, and optimization of plastic products, contributing to various projects that push the boundaries of material science and engineering.

A Plastic Blow Molding Engineer optimizes production processes, troubleshoots machinery (extruders, accumulators), and develops tooling to produce plastic products.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of plastic components and products, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of materials, understanding their properties and applications within different contexts.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to conduct experiments and analyze data, contributing to product improvements and innovation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Help document processes, methodologies, and results to maintain clear records and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

Required and Preferred Qualifications

They require 3-5+ years of experience, knowledge of PET/HDPE materials, and expertise in re-cycling of the recovered materials.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with basic plastics processing techniques and material properties.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a passion for problem-solving.

Preferred:

• Require 3-5+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of PET/HDPE materials.
• Basic understanding of CAD software and design principles.
• Knowledge of polymer chemistry and processing methods.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Understanding of materials characterization techniques.
• Familiarity with plastic manufacturing processes such as injection molding, extrusion, and thermoforming.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for product design.

Location

This role requires successful candidates to be based in-person at our facility located in [Ibafo- Mowe axis, Lagos - Ibadan Expressway, Ogun state.
