In this role, you will assist in the design, development, and optimization of plastic products, contributing to various projects that push the boundaries of material science and engineering.\nA Plastic Blow Molding Engineer optimizes production processes, troubleshoots machinery (extruders, accumulators), and develops tooling to produce plastic products.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the design and development of plastic components and products, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.\nAssist in the evaluation and selection of materials, understanding their properties and applications within different contexts.\nCollaborate with senior engineers to conduct experiments and analyze data, contributing to product improvements and innovation.\nParticipate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.\nHelp document processes, methodologies, and results to maintain clear records and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.\nRequirements\nRequired and Preferred Qualifications\nThey require 3-5+ years of experience, knowledge of PET/HDPE materials, and expertise in re-cycling of the recovered materials.\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.\nFamiliarity with basic plastics processing techniques and material properties.\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a passion for problem-solving.\nPreferred:\nRequire 3-5+ years of experience.\nKnowledge of PET/HDPE materials.\nBasic understanding of CAD software and design principles.\nKnowledge of polymer chemistry and processing methods.\nTechnical Skills and Relevant Technologies\nUnderstanding of materials characterization techniques.\nFamiliarity with plastic manufacturing processes such as injection molding, extrusion, and thermoforming.\nBasic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for product design.\nSoft Skills and Cultural Fit\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing positively to team dynamics.\nStrong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, innovative environment.\nProactive mindset with a dedication to continuous improvement and development\nLocation\nThis role requires successful candidates to be based in-person at our facility located in [Ibafo- Mowe axis, Lagos -
