Landscape Expertise & Design\nYou should be able to evaluate properties and create practical landscape solutions involving:\nLandscape renovations\nPlant and bed design\nTree and shrub selection\nTurf and grass management\nMulch and rock installations\nDrainage improvements\nSeasonal color\nBed cleanup and restoration\nProperty enhancement projects\nLandscape installation and replacement projects\nYou do not need to be a landscape architect, but you should have enough experience to confidently recommend solutions and explain them to customers and crews.\n2. Sales & Estimating\nYou will help turn property needs into profitable work.\nThis includes:\nMeeting with customers\nIdentifying enhancement opportunities\nDeveloping scopes of work\nEstimating labor, materials and equipment\nPresenting recommendations\nHelping close projects\nEnsuring sold work can actually be produced profitably\nYou must be comfortable talking to customers and asking for the sale.\n3. Production, Training & Quality\nThis is not a desk-only position.\nYou will spend significant time working with our crews and leaders in the field.\nYou will:\nTrain employees on landscaping best practices\nCreate repeatable installation and maintenance processes\nDemonstrate proper techniques\nHelp crews diagnose landscaping problems\nInspect completed work\nCorrect quality issues\nDevelop SOPs and training materials\nImprove productivity and job costing\nHelp develop crew leaders into stronger landscaping professionals\nWe want someone who can take years of landscaping knowledge and teach it to other people in a simple, repeatable way.\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE\nYou must have:\n5+ years of professional landscaping experience\nStrong hands-on knowledge of landscape maintenance\nExperience with landscape installation\nExperience designing or laying out landscape projects\nExperience estimating landscaping work\nExperience leading or training landscaping employees\nStrong understanding of plants, turf, beds and landscape materials\nAbility to identify common landscape problems and recommend solutions\nAbility to communicate professionally with commercial customers\nComfort selling recommended work\nAbility to manage several projects or properties at the same time\nValid driver's license and acceptable driving record\nAbility to work outdoors and physically participate in landscaping work when necessary\nSTRONGLY PREFERRED\nExperience with any of the following is a major plus:\nCommercial landscaping\nIrrigation systems\nIrrigation troubleshooting and repairs\nFertilization\nWeed control\nHerbicide and pesticide applications\nPlant health\nDrainage\nHardscape installation\nLandscape lighting\nEstimating software\nJob costing\nManaging multiple crews\nCreating SOPs or training programs\nLicenses or certifications related to landscaping, irrigation, horticulture or chemical applications are also a plus.\nWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE\nA strong person in this role should help us:\nImprove the quality of our landscaping work\nDevelop better field processes\nTrain stronger crews and crew leaders\nReduce callbacks and rework\nImprove estimating accuracy\nIncrease profitable enhancement sales\nBuild repeatable standards for landscape maintenance and installation\nMake our field team more knowledgeable and independent\nDeliver landscapes our customers are excited about\nCOMPENSATION\nBase Salary: $66,000 per year\nStarting Bonus Opportunity: Up to $16,000 annually based on agreed performance goals.\nBonus opportunities may be tied to areas such as:\nProfitable enhancement sales\nGross profit performance\nProduction quality\nTraining completion\nReduction in callbacks/rework\nSuccessful implementation of field processes\nTeam development\nThere is significant opportunity for this role to grow as Grey Barn grows.\nSCHEDULE\nThis is a full-time, field-oriented leadership position.\nTypical schedule:\nMonday-Thursday: 6:00 AM -
