Working across the full vehicle lifecycle, you’ll gain deep insight into Scania and TRATON’s ecosystem - from concept to aftersales.\nThis role is perfect for a senior engineer who enjoys hands-on work, system-level thinking and delivering real customer impact in a dynamic environment.\nJob Responsibilities\nTranslate special customer requirements into Scania’s electronic architecture.\nDevelop and adapt embedded software (C/C++) for customised vehicle functions.\nLead and coordinate complex cross-system assignments.\nDevelop and maintain solutions for defence and special vehicle applications.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.\nTroubleshoot and resolve system/software issues in production and field operations.\nAssess the technical feasibility of after-sales rebuilds from a system and software perspective.\nAct as a key interface, turning customer needs into effective technical solutions\nWho You Are\nYou are a technically strong System Engineer who can balance detail with a big-picture perspective. You have experience in C/C++ and a solid understanding of embedded software development. You can interpret complex customer needs and turn them into practical solutions.\nYou take initiative, think proactively, and have an entrepreneurial mindset-owning your work and driving it forward in a dynamic environment.\nSkills\nMust have:\nExperience in automotive embedded systems and software development lifecycle.\nAbility to lead complex technical tasks across multiple domains.\nExperience in automotive cybersecurity (ISO 21434).\nStrong C programming skills in embedded environments (MISRA C is a plus).\nFluent in Swedish and English, with strong communication skills\nGood to have:\nKnowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262).\nKnowledge of export control and defence systems.\nExperience with Scania vehicle systems (CRISP).\nPersonal skills:\nStrong system-level thinking with attention to detail.\nProactive and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership.\nSystem-oriented, balancing big-picture thinking with technical depth.\nCollaborative communicator across teams and disciplines.\nCurious, structured and motivated to learn and grow continuously.\nThis Is Us\nWe’re a diverse, international team at Scania, developing advanced, highly customised vehicle solutions.
