As the BI Specialist you will work closely with multiple stakeholders within the business, from senior management to software developers, IT support, sales and marketing. This role joins the Data & Analytics team and is responsible for delivering industry-leading data visualization solutions to ScanSource's global customer base.\nEssential Job Duties:\nSolve problems for large corporate clients in multiple business sectors.\nDevelop leading visualization solutions, dashboards and data models.\nShare your passion and knowledge with other teams.\nPerform Power BI service administrative duties.\nImplement best practices when building & maintaining reports.\nAssist in managing SAP BI reporting requests\nPartner with business stakeholders on long-term dashboard and analytics initiatives, helping define requirements, recommending solutions, and refining deliverables as business priorities and objectives evolve\nReporting Relationships: Manager, BI Data Analyst\nRequirements:\nAbility to effectively communicate both written and verbally in English.\nA bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, computer science or a related discipline is required.\nThree to five years of similar or related experience.\nAdvanced Microsoft Power BI, DAX, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Query and SQL understanding.\nKnowledge of Power BI role level security, premium capacity, embedded capacity, paginated reports, data modeling, incremental refresh and gateway maintenance.\nAbility to ensure Power Bi reports & dashboards perform optimally as models change overtime and with large data sets.\nKnowledge of Data Integration and ETL tools. Perform data transformations and cleansing tasks to ensure that data is accurate, complete and ready for analysis.\nAbility to quickly troubleshoot and solve user or refresh issues using Power BI.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, Macro’s, vlookups, etc.\nHigh attention to detail and ability to be flexible and learn quickly.\nExcellent organization, time and task management skills.\nMust be reliable, maintain consistent attendance and meet strict deadlines.\nAbility to follow and develop processes and procedures.\nAbility to work in a team environment and work independently with limited supervision.\nAbility to train other team members and internal customers on Power BI interface. \nAbility to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nApplication of logic, reasoning, and problem solving.\nKnowledge of Microsoft 365 software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).\nPreferred:\nWorking understanding of the SDLC and QA lifecycle and methodology.\nExperience with Python or Spark for data processing.\nExperience using integration with source control. (Azure DevOps, Git or GitHub)\nKnowledge of cloud architecture.\nExperience using ServiceNow or Jira task management tools.\nAzure, Data factory, Azure Pipeline & dataflow experience.\nExperience using power query and power apps.\nExperience working with data in Sales Force or Tableau.\nExperience using Visual Studio for SSIS.\nExperience using SAP.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.\nAbility to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for this position.\nCompenstaion:\nCompensation Range: $80,000 - $90,000\nActual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
