Your work will support several group companies and help ensure that payments, reconciliations, compliance activities, and financial information are completed accurately and on time. This is a strong opportunity to build broad finance experience in an international renewable energy business while developing your technical accounting capabilities.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nIn this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day accounting, payment, and compliance activities, including:\nProcess cashbooks, journals, intercompany transactions, customer invoices, and monthly customer statements across several group companies\n\nPrepare bank, supplier, balance sheet, travel expense, and corporate credit card reconciliations\n\nCapture supplier invoices, manage approval workflows, and review invoices for VAT, purchase order, and company compliance requirements\n\nCoordinate domestic and international payment runs, prepare payment batches, and load payments onto banking platforms\n\nResolve supplier and invoice queries and maintain accurate supporting payment documentation\n\nPrepare monthly VAT workings and support tax, KYC, CIPC, annual return, and other compliance requirements\n\nPrepare audit working papers and supporting schedules, including ED and BEE-related information\n\nProvide general finance support and assist with ad-hoc accounting and reporting requirements\n\nYour work will contribute to accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, and well-managed finance processes across the business.\nWhat you’ll gain\nProfessional growth through ownership, exposure, and meaningful contribution from day one\n\nHands-on experience in a role where the challenge is energising, fast-moving, meaningful, and built on learning through doing\n\nBroader commercial understanding through close collaboration with Finance, Asset Management, and other business teams\n\nStronger accounting, reconciliation, payment, and financial control capabilities across multiple legal entities\n\nExposure to international finance processes within a global renewable energy organisation\n\nExperience working with compliance, tax, audit, and ERP-driven finance processes\n\nWhat you’ll bring\nExperience and qualifications\nDiploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline\n\nMore than 3 years’ accounting experience\n\nProven experience preparing a basic trial balance\n\nSolid Microsoft Excel skills and a good understanding of finance processes and accounting sub-processes\n\nExperience working with ERP systems will be advantageous\n\nStrong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines\n\nWhat it’s like to work at Scatec\nAt Scatec, we combine purpose with performance.
