This is a role for someone who wants to combine technical depth with purpose, provide support by training and supervising junior personnel, learn in a fast-moving international business and build experience in one of the world’s most relevant industries.\nWhat you'll be doing\nPerform modification, troubleshooting, repair testing and maintenance of all facility electrical equipment, systems and network communication\nExecute switching, isolation, safety testing, earthing, and LOTO activities in line with ORHVS and PSR authorisation levels\nConduct OEM-specific preventative and corrective maintenance on BESS, PV systems, and associated electrical equipment\nInterpret schematics and blueprints\nQuality assurance checklists and inspections to document deficiencies and identify corrective actions needed\nDaily digital reporting and document on CMMS the maintenance activities of all facility electrical equipment, systems and spare parts\nControl and perform monthly electrical equipment/instruments and tools inspections\nMonitor and support the activities of Maintenance sub-contractor(s)\nAssist in developing standard operating procedures and processes\nIdentify and provide feedback to issues and ongoing development of projects\nPerform functions of Authorised Person and Responsible Person as per Plant requirements\nYour work will support real decisions, real assets, and real operational outcomes.\nWhat you’ll gain\nProfessional growth through ownership, exposure, and meaningful contribution from day one\nHands-on experience in a role where the challenge is energising, fast-moving, meaningful, and built on learning through doing.\nWhat you’ll bring\nExperience and qualifications\nN3 Qualification\nQualified Electrician and ORHVS qualification\nRegistered 3 phase installation electrician (SANS 10142); not single-phase tester\n5+ years Electrical experience - AC & DC electrical systems\nProven experience on MV & HV equipment troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance\nAbility to take ownership of electrical systems on the plant\nHigh Voltage Switching and Solar PV Plant experience\nSupervise, train junior personnel in associated duties and evaluate electrical staff \nMaintain Transformers and Switchgear and Assist with reporting and perform various HSE related inspections\nExperience with HV Switching, Solar PV Plant & BESS\nWhat it’s like to work at Scatec\nAt Scatec, we combine purpose with performance.
