The role involves analysing\nfinancial data, preparing reconciliations, and collaborating with internal\nteams to deliver clear insights for decision-making.\nKey responsibilities:\nContribute to the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly,and annual financial statements in accordance with UK accounting\nstandards and management financial reporting requirements.\n\nSupport and assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, profitabilityand variance analysis through analytical review of areas of responsibility.\n\nMaintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure all reconciliationsare completed promptly, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues\npromptly to ensure confidence in reported financial information.\nensuring confidence in our financial statements.\n\nSupport internal and external audit processes, providing documentationand explanations as required.\n\nWork closely with other finance and business team members tostreamline reporting processes and drive continuous improvement.\n\nSupporting corporate governance and ensure compliance with relevantfinancial reporting / regulations and company policies.\n\nOn request financial analysis to enable data led decision making. \nTake ownership of personal development, building technical accountingknowledge, systems capability and analytical confidence to support\nprogression within the finance function.\n\nSkills and experience:\nPart Qualified / Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). \nKnowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements. \nExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail. \nInquisitive nature with an appetite to investigate and correct anomaliesand put in place corrective process to ensure business is able to transact\naccurately.\n\nIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reportingsoftware to be able to understand and explain how process translates\ninto financial reporting accuracy.\n\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills. \nAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment.\n\nPresentation and communication skills, with strong business acumen.\nExperience of Enterprise wide ERP toolsets, preferably D365 with proven abilityto manage large datasets with multiple financial dimension postings.\n\nAbout Us\nSCC is Europe's largest privately-owned IT business, based out of the new £7m HQ office in Birmingham and we help clients succeed through IT transformation and exceptional customer experiences.
