This role ensures that manufacturing and operational processes comply with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality procedures.\nThis position oversees quality systems, including CAPA, deviations, change control, document control, audit programs, and validation activities. The role partners cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Product Development to maintain compliance and strengthen quality processes.\nThis position reports to the Director of Quality and the requirement is to be onsite in our Somerset, NJ campus five days per week.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuality Systems Management\nOwn and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) including quality policies, procedures, and documentation standards.\nOversee document control and ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).\nQuality Programs\nManage core quality system processes, including:\nNon-Conformance Reports (NCR)\nCorrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)\nDeviations and investigations\nChange Control\nProduct rework and retrieval (mock recall)\nAudit & Compliance\nLead the internal audit program and coordinate external audits, including ISO, GMP, and customer audits.\nEnsure audit readiness and drive corrective actions from audit findings.\nQualification & Calibration\nManage equipment qualification activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.\nOversee equipment calibration and validation documentation.\nRegulatory Compliance\nMaintain knowledge of applicable regulations and industry standards.\nEnsure operational processes remain compliant with GMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.\nQuality Improvement\nMonitor quality system metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\nSupport risk-based quality initiatives across operational teams.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Product Development to ensure quality requirements are integrated into operational processes.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor's degree in sciences, cosmetics, or related field required. \nMinimum 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Systems.\nExperience working in GMP, ISO, or regulated manufacturing environments.\nExperience supporting regulatory or certification audits preferred.\nASQ Certification or Lead Auditor Certification is often a plus.\nSkills/Competencies/Desired Behaviors:\nExtensive knowledge of applicable government regulations.\nStrong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance.\nExperience managing CAPA, deviations, and investigations.\nExcellent documentation and technical writing skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work cross-functionally and drive compliance initiatives.\nAbility to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to inform and educate Managers and Department Heads on regulations and policies that require compliance.\nAbility to guide/mentor potential customers/vendors/brands on the Quality and Regulatory processes and requirements.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficient with applicable database and compliance software.\nProficient with Google Docs and standard computer-based software.\nBilingual in English and Spanish, a plus.\nWhat You'll Love About Us\nCompetitive base compensation\nBonus program\nRemote first *\nPaid Time Off\n401k with Company Match\nMedical, Dental, Vision, and Commuter Benefits\nFlexible Spending Accounts, as well as Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts\nComplimentary Scentbird Membership\nA fun, creative and energetic work environment\nBase Salary: $125,000 - $135,000\n About Scentbird\nScentbird inspires fragrance lovers to go beyond the ordinary and sample scents that evoke passion, confidence, and the unknown.
