On-site.\nReports to: Senior Director of Operations\nEmployment type and classification: Full time\nShift: extended hours / 6am to 6.30 PM\nResponsibilities\nMake-Ready and Line Setup\nPerform complete setup and changeovers on filling, labeling, and coding equipment.\nInstall tooling, adjust guides and nozzles, mount film and label rolls, configure print files, and set sensor positions.\nConduct line clearance and verify that all components match batch documentation.\nComplete startup checklists and [authorize the line for production / hand the line to QA for release].\nAutomatic Filling Lines\nOperate and monitor filling, capping, and in-line labeling modules.\nMake mechanical and electronic adjustments to maintain speed and product quality.\nRespond quickly to alarms and error codes, clear line stoppages, and escalate larger issues.\nLog production data, including output, downtime, and machine settings.\nCoordinate with maintenance when technical issues exceed the operator's scope.\nSemi-Automatic Filling Lines\nPrepare equipment for specialty formats and small-batch production.\nAdjust nozzles, fill levels, gating, and indexing systems.\nSupervise manual operators to maintain accuracy and consistency.\nLabeling Equipment\nSet up label rolls, calibrate sensors, and adjust label position.\nMaintain label placement accuracy and resolve jams and skew.\nConfigure size changeovers, wrap systems, and touchscreen settings for product-specific parameters.\nConfirm that product codes, batch numbers, and label formats are correct.\nPacket Machines\nSet up forming tools, sealing jaws, cutting assemblies, and film rolls.\nMonitor seal integrity, film registration, fill weight, and pouch quality.\nTroubleshoot sealing, feeding, and misalignment issues.\nCoding Equipment\nLoad and edit batch, expiry, and lot codes.\nConfigure messages, Data Matrix codes, and barcodes.\nAdjust print positioning, timing, sensor timing, print distance, and resolution.\nKeep printheads clean and manage ink and solvent levels.\nMake sure coding on every product is clear and compliant.\nTraining and Crew Support\nAssign tasks, monitor performance, and make sure the crew follows SOPs and safety protocols.\nTrain technicians on machine operation, changeovers, quality checks, and troubleshooting.\nSupport continuous improvement, cross-training, and team development.\nQuality and Compliance\nPerform routine checks for fill volume, torque, seal integrity, labeling accuracy, and print clarity.\nMaintain compliance with GMP, SOPs, batch documentation, and audit requirements.\nReport deviations promptly and support root-cause investigations.\nSafety and Basic Maintenance\nPerform minor preventive maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor part replacement.\nFollow lockout/tagout and other equipment safety procedures.\nEscalate complex mechanical or electrical issues and keep the work area safe for the crew.\nTake part in safety audits and improvement initiatives.\nRequirements\nRequired\n7 years of experience operating multi-equipment packaging or filling lines.\nStrong mechanical aptitude, including changeovers and troubleshooting.\nWorking knowledge of GMP, quality checks, and production documentation.\nExperience supervising, training, or coordinating technical staff.\nClear communication and good organizational skills.\nPreferred\nBackground in fragrance, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing.\nTechnical training in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics fields.\n[Familiarity with HMI or PLC interfaces.]\nSkills and Strengths\nSound decision-making and conflict resolution.\nAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nA process-driven mindset and a data-driven approach to improving efficiency and reducing costs.\nQuick troubleshooting and willingness to adopt new technologies.\nPhysical Requirements\nStand and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.\nLift up to 50 lbs.\nWork comfortably in a high-speed, high-volume production environment.\nBe available for shifts, overtime, or weekend work depending on production demand.\nWhat We Offer\nBase pay, plus a bonus program \nPaid time off.\n401(k) with company match.\nMedical, dental, and vision benefits.\nFlexible Spending Accounts and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts.\nWhat You’ll Love About Us:\nCompetitive base compensation\nBonus program\nPaid Time Off\n401k with Company Match\nMedical, Dental and Vision Benefits\nFlexible Spending Accounts, as well as Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts\nA fun, creative and energetic work environment\nAbout Scentbird\nScentbird inspires fragrance lovers to go beyond the ordinary and sample scents that evoke passion, confidence, and the unknown.
